"But he's such an interesting guy," she protested, "and he wants an adventure. Do you have anything more pressing to do??"

"Yes, go home," Rei said, crossing her arms. She cast a sideways glance at Ace. "Knowing him I'll end up in prison. Trapped in a burning barn. Shipwrecked in Creta. Or maybe he'll change things up; I'll lose my other arm or maybe a leg. Maybe this time I'll just end up dead."

Ace smiled. "You're so pessimistic, Rei! Remember the good ole times we had together? Sailing beneath the Moon in the quiet on a tiny rowboat? Watching the fire twinkle against a sunny day as it slowly ate at the barn wood? The interesting people you met in that prison? Adventures!"

She stifled a laugh upon seeing the withering glare Rei gave Ace. Two sides of the same story. Looking at Ace, she pointed out, "You never did say where this adventure was going to be."

"My lady, I do believe this is for your own good," Ace said as he picked Rei up and threw her over his shoulder.

"Shall we depart, dear Dwyrin? We're headed to deep Xingese caves on the far side of town. There's said to be an ancient race out there. They hold incredible secrets," Ace smiled an winked. "Dark caverns are usually fun!"

"Don't have to tell me twice," Dwyrin said, ignoring Rei's protests.

Although it was a bit of an effort it might be worth it. She privately wondered if there was any way to make money off of this. Has it really come down to that?? She sighed, remembering when she used to want to know things simply for the fun of it.

"Let go of me, you stupid... Stupid... Agh!" Rei yelled, squirming and trying to break free of Ace's grip. She contemplated hitting the man with her automail before giving up. She was getting dragged along on another Ace Adventure and there was no stopping it.

"well. . i'm back. . apparently" keixth mumbled.
Then he stomped his foot and huffed.
"better get this over with" Keixth said.

Zane was just walking around when he saw Keixth. Smirking as an idea popped in his head, he neared the kid.

"Royalty kid," he greeted him. "Long time no see, hm? I didn't expect to see you here, honestly."

he turned just to see zane smirking
thinking he was up to no good again.
"well apparently yes. long time no see, mr. zane. Well i'm just here to fix some things up" keixth said

Zane laughed. "No, no," he said. "I don't want to have to punch you all the time when you go ballistic; it'll get me jailed in Xing. I like my life peaceful, and I got too much money now," he said; he was in a good mood.

"Oh? The current Emperor of Xing? Mind telling me? Did he find out you ran away and wants to give you a good lecturing?

Ah, did you know that the emperor was once my client?"

"err well I don't really know and no i did not ran away. if i did Xing would've sent people to go look for me and stuff"

"oh really now? granpa didn't tell me about that one" Keixth rubbed his chin in thought.

Zane nodded. "Makes sense. So what does he need from you?" he dragged the kid to the side, as they were in the middle of the road.

"And yeah. Well, it's a secret thing," was his vague response. "And not very legal."

Keixth then started walking towards the way to the palace.
"hmm. . probably to tell me get you ass working or stuff like that but i really don't know" Keixth said as he waved by the people from xing.

"Figures it's illegal" keixth scoffed.

Zane followed with his hands pocketed. "Ah," he mused. "Really. You mind if I tag along?" He watched as he waved to the people. "For someone so far in line, they sure know you, hm?"

He laughed a bit. "Yes. He's a very generous client. One I wouldn't mind offering my services to again."

"Ah," Zane smirked. "How admirable, royalty kid."

"He's an interesting client, I'll have to admit," he stated. "I hope he doesn't want me to find him mermaids though, like last time."

"Yeah, he wanted some mermaids... And it took me a great hassle to get him one. But I'm sure he wanted more."

Keixth stopped at a tea house.
"i think this is the place where we should wait for them" keixth said.

"well i'm assuming that's what you thought of us. . or rather me"

"well mermaids are said to have powerful medicinal properties here in xing and is considered as a Delicacy of sorts"

Zane looked at the tea house. "ah. ...there's coffee here, yeah? I don't really like tea."

"Not really. You didn't give me that impression," he waved it off. "You looked gullible enough though."

Zane raised an eyebrow. "Wtf. It wasn't for decoration? You freaking eat mermaids?" ...and incidentally, he suddenly remembered yuri at the cave. I'll have to remind myself to warn her from going to Xing.
