Dante listened and thought he understood where she was getting at. "You were left alone, the military came for you, and you ran away..." He said. It sounded just like him, instead he was forced into the military.

Tosh nodded. "Yeah, I was afraid they would come after me and kill me. They didn't but I was still alone. All I had was one of the alchemy books of my Mom's library and her diary. Then my days as a poverty child started. Him, he used to be called Tsuba, he saved me and I lived with him and 3 other street kids, like a family."

Dante sighed and closed his eyes. "But they took that away from you too...." He said, imagining the scene in his head. "....they were still looking."

Tosh nodded. "Turned out one of the guards saw me practicing alchemy and reported it to a commander. When they came to get me, they shot him and the others down, protecting me. I blew the guards away with the wind and escaped to the top of a building but there was a watcher on top and he cut me on me eye." She pointed to her scar. "I ended up pushing the guy off the roof and killing him with my wind. I never looked back at the scene where they were killed."

Dante imagined the whole scene in his head and his blood began to boil. He looked up at Xenith and wondered why he would join the military. But he had a good guess on why he would have Tosh cloned. "He made Takashi because he thought you were dead, so he used the DNA Garsher got, but it wasn't enough to clone someone..."

Tosh thought it over some. It could have been a reason. She nodded. "Yeah, you could be right."

Takashi thought it over. He was created just for emotional reasons? He was not sure to be sad or angry anymore.

Dante thought it over some more. "Takashi's right hand has a red transmutation circle that matches the one on my hand, and it also produces the same red lightning. The there is his eyes. They change when he's mad or fighting." He made sure he had every detail. "I think Takashi is a product of multiple DNA samples."

Takashi's eyes widened as her remembered what his file said about his different genes. He shook his head, trying to block it out. The information was a bit too much for him.

"So... is it like they were trying to make him special?" Tosh asked, inferring.

Dante shook his head. "Possible, but like I said, they didn't have enough of your DNA to make a complete clone. So they took the DNA from me and....possibly an animal, to balance it out."

"So a part of you is with Takashi?" she asked now a bit curious.

Takashi narrowed his eyes sadly. "An animal...?"

Dante shrugged. "Maybe. It might also explain why Takashi is a male instead of a female. If it was just a clone of you, he would be female." He saw Takashi's expression change. "Look, don't beat yourself up on this. I have friends that are part animal and their lives haven't changed."

Tosh nodded. "Yeah." Tosh looked to the stage and saw people gathering in the audience seats, the ceremony about to begin.

Takashi looked to Kotaro, a solemn look on his face. "Yeah, but I've only been alive for just a month... I don't understand all of this..."

Dante saw the ceremony was about to begin and sighed. "Takashi, I now what you feel like. I'm a clone too remember?" He patted him on the back. "Just wait till the ceremony is over and we will talk to Xenith."

Takashi nodded, feeling a bit better. After all, he did have some of Dante within him. He looked towards the ceremony with Tosh.

A commanding officer stepped up to the podium, making a speech about the purpose of this event and recognizing Xenith. Xenith was sitting in a seat, waiting to be called up to receive his honor.

Dante, although content with his theory, was still thinking. Xenith entered the military. Was it by force, or was it so he had the resources to find Tosh? He likes her.... He smiled. But he still needed more.

The commanding officer put a badge on Xenith's military uniform, recognizing his promotion. Xenith shook hands with him before starting his speech.

Tosh closed her eyes and thought back on her past, about the times she had with Tsuba before that faithful day.

Dante watched the ceremony then looked at Tosh. This must be hard for her. He looked back up at Xenith. What is his reason?

"He always said he always despised the military for what they were becoming... so I don't get it...." Tosh quietly let out a sigh before leaning her head on Dante's shoulder. Her head was be swept with emotions and questions; she just needed a rest.

Dante looked at Toah and put his arm around her. "We'll find out. Go ahead and rest. I'll speak to him."

Tosh nodded, drifting asleep. She didn't dream peacefully nor did she have a nightmare. It was something like a mix.

Takashi's eyebrow twitched, getting an anxious feeling. Almost like a protective brother. "Their an item...?"

Dante glanced at Takashi. "Watch her for a minute. When the ceremony is over, I'm going to speak to Xenith."

Takashi nodded. "Looks like it is ending now." He said pointing to Xenith walking off the stage after the crowd applauded him.

Dante nodded and carefully stood up so he didn't disturb Tosh. He walked toward Xenith but was stopped by a few soldiers. "I need to talk to him."

Takashi let Tosh lean on him and watched as the soldiers stopped Dante from proceeding forward. He narrowed his eyes.

Xenith approached the situation saying "It's okay, he's a friend of mine. Let him through." he said to the soldiers.
