AA Username: Cortlen1211
Picture:
Spoiler:
Name: Cortlen Newman
Alias/Nicknames: Op-0
Age: 36
Gender: male
Weight: 190lp (86.18kg)
Height: 6'2'' (213.36cm)
Hair: black
Eyes: yellow
Race: Amestrian
Alliance: rebellion
Job: military spec-ops unit gone AWOL.
Power/Weapon: "stimulation" alchemy (increases movement of molecules), C-20A sniper rifle
Spoiler:
Personality: easily agitated, but a rather collected and admirable person to be around when calm.
Physical Description: strong, tank-like build, covered with scars
History: As a child he was taken in by the army, his parents had left him for dead after he accidentally killed his younger sister. He really didn't mean to do it, she happened to walk in while he was meditating. Even at a young age "stimulation" alchemy was enough to kill at short range if he wanted to--or not. So the army took advantage of this. By the age of 14 he was doing in humane tests. The most memorable was when a soldier aimed a shotgun to his head. Cortlen was given the orders to kill the soldier before the soldier killed him. The end result was what looked like a hemorrhage, but was actually the same fate his sister met. He collapsed the man's brain. Refusing to do anymore tests like this, the scientists exposed him to dangerous chemical compounds that enhanced his telepathic abilities even further. A key side affect being, insanity. His tests grew more rigorous but he still refused to use his telepathy for anything more than communication.

That all changed during his final.

Racing through the exam course, gunning down man eating, ravenous chimera, and being shot at by hundreds of soldiers. He finally cracked. Left right and center, men were falling with either blood pouring out their ears, or their heads blown clean off. Blood stained the entire examination room. Just as his examiners had entered in Cortlen's flawless pass, they too met their fate. He never spoke of that day to anyone, and he remained barracked with common soldiers, despite what he was put through. Hell was after him it seemed, and it didn't let up.

Three years after Cortlen's "flawless pass", now age 21, he was sent to his old town under the military's orders. His mission was to kill a possible rebel leader, and to kill everyone in the town. His years in the training facility had made him forget about the town, and even his parents who lived there. Completing the first part of the mission was easy. The target was terminated, although no evidence was given that he was at all a rebel. He killed the rest of the town as his orders stated, and with out a second thought. It was only when he reached his old house that he remembered. His hatred for his parent grew, and he could sense that the life forms inside were indeed his parents. Breaking down the door, Cortlen shot them both without remorse. Then he saw a little girl, standing at the stairwell. Realizing what he had done, now finding out that the old saying was true. History is bound to repeat itself. The last thing he did before he went AWOL, was complete that mission with all objectives complete.

Other: Stimulation alchemy involves increasing the vibration rate of molecules or vibrating them out of position entirely. It is a simple process, but it is lethal when used on a living entity.
Similar to the strategy of others, Cortlen has his transmution circle on the hilt of his gun and the on the inside of his barrel. Due to the acceleration of the molecules, stimulation alchemy can effectively be used as a form of ammunition. With the proper control, "stimulated rounds" can bypass the flesh and bone of a target and effect only vitals. Almost like a cancer-gen...only more lethal.

Creepy.

You need to bring the telepathy power down.

Mainly because, in FMA there is no telepathy present? Um, and I don't really see how you connect that to alchemy.

So, yeah.

I would ask if you're weapon is technologically feasible for the time, but the main thing that bothers me is the telepathy. ^^; Because as I said, there is no known link to that and FMA that I can see. ^^;;

Explain stimulation alchemy. And how he uses it without creating transmutation circles? (Which isn't possible..)

Two things about this!

Like Q mentioned - that gun... I'm not so sure they have C20's during this time frame.

And how does this alchemy work?? If the circles are on the gun, it makes sense that the weapon is alchemically enhanced - the stimulated rounds - but how can it affect something he's not touching??

Simple chemistry. Energy flows.
And they had machine guns (according to the story) 100 years ago. It's just a high powered sniper rifle.

There's no chemistry about it ^^ That would be physics.
