Dante gritted his teeth. He didn't laugh. "He knows Maria. And he's in the military." He looked toward the entrance. "If he reports us, we can be done for."

Nero stared at the entrance of the cafe. I really could have planned that better. He knocked on the door and a girl answered it.

"We said we don't-"

Nero pointed to the star he had on his shoulder. "It's military business miss. There was just a misunderstanding and I said something wrong."

The girl frowned. "I don't know..."

"Miss, please let be back in so I can apologize and talk to them."

The girls sighed and opened the door. "Alright, but no more problems you hear?"

Zero nodded and walked back to the table. "I just want to talk, so don't try something like that again alright?"

"I know, but I had to do something so he wouldn't let it out in here." Maria told Kotaro.

When she noticed Nero walk back in, she sighed. "Alright, but, you must refer to us as Maria and Dante, and you must not revel anything about us, ok?"

Dante glared at Nero. He still wasn't convinced he wanted to just talk. In fact he expected Nero to arrest them. "What do you want then?"

Nero nodded. "The military is still looking for Kotaro and still thinks you are alive, Maria." He looked at Maria. "They didn't find a body and they had an alchemist search for the contents from the human body. Since none were found, they think Dante captured you and now they are on high alert."

He turned to Dante. "They have my men searching for you guys. If I could smell your scent, they could as well."

Maria shook her head. "Then all I need to do is find a way to mask our scents, even if only for a little while."

Maria looked at Nero. "I don't want to go back to the military. I won't rebel, obviously, but I want nothing to do with it, other then Dante here."

A Employee came up and asked if everything was alright. Maria told her it was fine, and to bring a glass of water with ice, please.

Dante snarled. They could still track them, and they still thought Maria was alive. He had been good with them thinking she was dead. That way they would leave her alone. But now...

"If they find us don't worry. I'll kill them all before I have them take you away." He looked at Maria. "I won't let them take you back to that hell hole."

"Whats this guy got to do with the military?" He looked curiously at Dante. "He doesn't look like a soldier, and you at least had a rank on you." There was something different about them. They both had the same scent, like they were the same person.

He looked at the 2 and raised an eyebrow. "Exactly what is the relationship between you two?"

Maria giggled and waved her hand. "We're just friends, good sir~"

Maria turned serious again in a second. "Just a little acting to feed the peoples ears. Anywho, I will not revel that bit of info. If Dante wishes, he will."

Dante snarled and looked down. He looked up at Maria. "I don't really think we should tell him. We don't really know his reason for telling us this in the first place." He glanced at Nero. "For all I know, he could just be biding his time to attack." All of this was said in a whisper.

Nero raised an eyebrow. They seemed a little to close for friends, but he shrugged it off. "Whatever."

Nero's enhanced hearing allowed him to pick up on the whisper. "Your the reason I was able to find my wife. I'm just repaying the favor. I'm also asking one, but first I want to know about you two before we get to that."

Maria sighed. "Alright, BUT, you must not disclosure what I will tell you, and, no mater what, you will never bring up the names Maria and Dante in a military report."

Maria walked over to Nero and whispered. "Me and Kotaro are clones created by the military." She then turned around and showed Nero the tattoo on her neck.

Dante's eyes narrowed as Maria told Nero. He glanced at Nero, daring him to threaten them with anything he could throw. "I will enforce her rule, Wolf."

Nero nodded. So THESE were the clones he had heard about. "I have heard of you two. And all the trouble you caused. But don't worry, I won't report you as long as you help me with my request." He looked at Dante. "I need your help to fix my wife."

Maria heard someone ask for a check.

"I'll let you two talk."

Maria went off to give the person his check.

Dante stopped glaring at Nero. "You want us to help fix her? As in make her remember who she is?"

"I understand if you won't want to help me, but please do. I have to help her. Come to the chimera HQ when you can." Then without another word, Nero walked out of the cafe.

Dante looked at Maria. "I don't think theres anything we can do. I know nothing about chimera alchemy."

Dante sighed. "Even if we can help her become....Sorta human....She will still have no fingers and be a chimera." Dante looked at her. "What type of life would that be?"

"Resha is a doctor. I think we could get help with the fingers. And remember what he said? How she wanted to be like him? She wanted to be part Chimera. Wolf is part wolf, obviously. A human chimera."

Maria raised a finger.

"If done by their own will, they can replace parts of her arms with automail, which do come with working fingers. Of their own free will, of course."

Kotaro nodded. "Yes, but how do we fix her? They didn't block her memories, they completely erased them. She doesn't seem like other chimera." He shook his head.
