Hidden Isvalan Settlement

Kotaro was in the back of Jack's truck along with Kinai. They had left 2 days earlier, and were now deep in Ishval. Kinai hadnt said a word the whole trip. Kotaro lurched forward as the truck stopped suddenly. The back door of the truck opened revealing a barren landscape and a large cave. "Here we are" Jack said smiling.

The group approached the cave. Kotaro recognized the hidden cameras. Disquised as rocks, they were nearly invisible. As they entered the cave, 3 men appeared out of no where. They carried automatic weapons. The leader stepped forword. "Jake? Why are you back so soon?" Jake smiled. "Got some guests. You remember Kotaro, he came to check on Ferrah, the other is Ishvalan." The guards stared at Kinai, seming to check if he was Ishvalan. They entered deeper into the cave. "We'll escort you through the checkpoints." The leader said.

Kinai followed still silent. He couldnt wait to see his people but he still was wary about all this and had his newly forged blade with him. The one with the philosepher stone fragment

They entered a large cavern, sunlight seemed to shine, but there was no hole in the cieling. Kotaro looked around. A city was built in this cavern. People could be seen walking through the streets. Ishvalan people. They wore Ishvalan clothes, thee were crops, windmills for harvesting grain, and shrines to Ishbala, their God. Kotaro looked back at Kinai. “Welcome to charity oupost.”

Kinai's legs start shaking I can't believe so many of my people are alive He thought to himself before turning to jake "Thank you for your kindness torward my kind"

Jake smiled at Kinai. “Your people have had it rough. It's about time they had some help.” Jake turned toward the guards. “I'll take it from here.” The guards saluted, then walked back toward the entrance. “Follow me,I'll take you to the elders.”

The elders house was not by means tall, but was comfortable. As they apprached the house, a young Ishvalan girl about the age of five ran out to them. “Kotaro! your back!” Kotaro stooped down and picked up the girl. “Yes, I'm back Ferrah.” Ferrah smiled as she was picked up.

Kinai smiled when he seen how good the Ishvalans were being treated and kinai hasnt smiled since he was a little kid before the killingand he turns back to jake "Thank you very much. Me and my people are all in debt to you" he pauses for a moment "And i know my people had it rough, but we will get our vengeance my Sword of judgment will make sure to that"

The elder stepped out of the house, a smile on his face. “Kotaro, nice to see you again.” He then turned to Kinai. “And who is this fine young man.” Kotaro smiled back at the elder. “His name is Kinai Elder Veto.” Kotaro placed Ferrah on the ground.

"Yes sir" He bows slightly to the man "My name is Kinai Takai. I am Ishvalan as you are. I hope my people like it here for the time being" He raises back up "And don't worry we will get our land back soon"

The elder smiled at Kinai. “Even if just one, it is good to see another survivor.” He turned to Kotaro.“This man started the settlement. He brought us here.” He turned to Jake. “And this one provided us with our necessities.” Kotaro frowned. He walked into the elders house, followed by Ferrah. The elder turnd back to Kinai, noticing the many swords he carried. “My, my, you do look the part there. You remind me of someone.”

"It may be my father Oni Takai and my mother was Haru Takai" He doesnt really like talkign about his family "They were slaughtered by the military during the invasion when they took over ishval"
(oni means demon or devil or chaos something liek thtat i forgot thoufh)

The elder nodded. “I knew them.” He turns to see Kotaro exit his house, a frown still on his face. “Elder Veto, where is Tomoh?” The elder shakes his head. “Died just a week ago. His fever just never got better.”

Kinai turns to jake "Thank you for all you done" He bows slightly "But if my people die off because of military then you will suffer the same"

Jake grew angry at the remark. “If the military finds this place, I would gladly sacrifise my life to get as many Ishvalans out as I could.” Kotaro put his hand on Jakes shoulder. “So would I.”

[Kinai]

He laughs because he could tell jake angered. Kinai loved anger and fear it seemed like his fragment fed on it but he turned his back to jake "Why would you help them though?"

Jake frowned. "I was saved by the Ishvalans during the war. They saw me in the desert and gave me some water, food and took me with them." Jake looked away. "They all died by a group of mercenaries. They werent even hired to do anything, they just attacked. The elder saved my life at the cost of his." Kotaro turned to Kinai. "I was close friends with an Ishvalan family. Ferrah is the last living piece of that family. I protect these Ishvalans to atone for my sins, and to make sure this war doesnt end in a holocaust."

[Kinai]

When he says holocaust kinai's kinda goes in a trance before saying "Don't worry that won't happen"

Kotaro stepped forward. “I'll make sure it wont happen. I would be honored to help in your fight, but I dont believe any more fighting will fix this.” Kotaro walked away, followed by Ferrah.

[Kinai]

Kinai falls to his knees confused "I don't know what to do, I thought all my people are dead. I must defend them"

The elder steps forward. “Kinai, the resistance has been good to us. Come, there is someone I want you to meet.”

[Kinai]

"Yes sir" Kinai says as he rises to his feet and proceeds to follow

The elder led Kinai to a large open house. A small man was inside, hammering at something. He turned to the elder as he approached and bowed. "Elder Veto." He turned to see Kinai. Elder Veto extended his hand. "Kinai, this is Masine. He was a defender during the war. He may have something for you."

[Kinai]

Kinai bows slightly "hello, and thank you for your help in defending the Ishvalans" He says and then is puzzled at what the elder means "What?"

“Masine is a weaponsmith, but, he also was a great fighter. He collected things from his foes.” Masine stepped forward and held out his hand. “During his travels, he met your father. This belonged to him.” Masine held out a sword sheath, a phlisepher stone fragment enbedded in it. “The sword is missing, but the purpose is there.”

[Kinai]

He takes the sheath "Thank you." He says before switching his sword of judgement into the new sheath

Kotaro approached Kinai. “Kinai, at the eastern military base you “judged” me.” This had been a thorn in his side. In the military, Kotaro had done horrible things. Things had been trying to atone for. But the sword judged him innocent. “How does the sword judge an individual?”
