Kotaro turned his head as Tosh looked at Kairo. He hadn't said anything yet. “You don't need to worry about him anymore. He's changed.” Kotaro shuffled his feet. “Why am I so nervous?” he whispered.

"Really?" she asked looking up at Kotaro. "How?" Tosh noticed Kotaro shuffling and sensed his nervousness.

“For one thing, he apologized for trying to kill us. Secondly, he doesn't kill innocents and he is no longer crazy.” He was so nervous he began to sweat

Tosh titled her head in curiousness and suspicion at Kotaro's uneasiness. "I see." she said and walked up closer to Kotaro, her tone low some. "Why so nervous?" she finally asked.

Kotaro turned his head away. “Nervous, I'm not nervous. Why would I be nervous?” Kotaro mentaly kicked himself. This was just proving he was nervous.

Tosh sighed as she laid a calm hand on Kotaro's shoulder. She looked into his eyes. "Come on, you can tell me." Then she smiled. "Then again, you don't have to if you don't wanna." she said, letting down her hand.

Kotaro sighed. The sooner he got this off his chest the better. He took in a deep breath. “It's just... last time I saw Resha, she was convinced we were a couple, Renee asked me about it a while back, and Kairo just recently joked about it.” Kotaro just turned his face away. “I guess I just feel nervous when people see us together cause they always ask about it.”

"Ohhh.." Tosh said, remembering the conversation her and Resha had about that particular subject. She rubbed her arm not sure what to say. "Well...." Tosh blushed some more looking up at him. "What...are your feelings for me?" she asked quietly.

Kotaro glanced at Tosh. He had asked that same question on the note he wrote to her at the war ground. He walked back to his bag and pulled out the note. “I guess this is why I kept it.” He walked back to Tosh and held it out. “I could never put it into words Tosh. I'm just stupid that way.”

Tosh took the note, looking at Kotaro sincerely. She started reading, a pink blush coming about her cheeks.

Kotaro started to shuffle his feet again. “A lot has happened to me reently. Things...” he looked at his arm. “...that arent pleasant.” He looked at Tosh. “You've always been there to help me, and I have tried to be there for you. I'm always just to late.” He closed his eyes. “I guess I kept that to remind me why I keep rying.”

Tosh gently put the note back into Kotaro's hands as she hugged him. "If that's your strive, then never lose it. And even though you may seem 'late' you're still there, no?" she whispered to him in his ear. "And I love you, too." she said as she hugged tighter, feeling her emotions and passion sweep in.

Kotaro stood there in a daze. He wrapped his arms arond her. “I'll always be there Tosh.” He felt a tear rolling down his face. “I love you.”

Kotaro looked at Tosh. He had never been so happy. So much pain had surrounded him. So much death, that he thought it impossible he would be happy again. “Like I said at the hospital Tosh, I would give my life to save my friends.” He thought of Fang and Will. “No one else will die as long as I am there. And your the reason I live.” He knew it sounded tacky, but he was telling the truth. “I live my life to prolong yours.” He released her and smiled.

Renee was working on improving the barrel of her shotgun in the back as it all happened. She didn't mean to listen, but to be loud would interrupt them, and being quiet made it easier to hear. She was like a girl watching a romantic comedy. She almost wanted to pop out and watch, but resisted.

Tosh usually ached when Fang and Will was mentioned, but did not this time. She felt Kotaro's words strongly and took them to heart. "And I feel the same way." she said smiling a really genuine and sweet smile.

Kotaro sat down on a nearby chair. He felt better knowing how Tosh felt about him and that she knew how he felt about her. Something was bothering Kotaro though. It was quiet. He looked around. Kairo and Renee had disappeared. “Where did everyone go?”

Kotaro stood up and walked around the store, finding no one. He walked toward the back where he heard someone moving. He walked inside to see Renee working on a holster. “There you are.”

Renee smiled as Kotaro appeared, there being two presents. One on white wrapping paper, on in Black Wrapping paper. She hands them to Kotaro.

"Which one of you two is the light, and which one is the dark?"

Kotaro was confused for a moment until he realized that Renee must have heard everything. “Thanks Renee.” he said as he took the gifts. He gave a weak smile and brought the light one to Tosh. “Your the light.”
