She smiled at the two of them. "Renee is much important right now," she agreed.

Resha led the way, staying close to the wall for support. When they reached her office, she asked Renee to sit down by the bed. Drinking some pills, she felt much stable and her hands stopped shaking. Temporary, but it gets the job done.

She checked up on Renee and measured her brainwaves. Then turned to Kotaro. "Her brainwaves are... in haywire," she said and injected something on Renee. "She should be okay for now. But she'll have to come back for maintenance or else she'll start to forget again."

Renee obeyed what the two strangers said. When Resha measured her brainwaves, she freaked out a little. After being injected with something, she fell onto her side.

"I feel sleepy...... but yet I can't sleep......."

Her memories slowly begun to come back.

Kotaro sighed. “So that chip messed her up a bit.” He shook his head. What if this happened again and she didn't remember to come back? “I guess she's ok for now.” He turned to Resha. “They've been working you hard huh?”

"Yes," she said. "The microchip is a foreign substance that it messed the natural flow. Although, that did give grips on her personality, erasing what must be erased. Except, it erased too much. That's why maintenance is important." And I forgot about it! Wow!

She looked at Kotaro. She didn't want him to worry. "I'm... okay. Really~" but she couldn't look at him.

Renee began to have flashbacks of the times when she was a child. She started to seem to push something off of her.

"Nooo...... bad chimera...... no licking..... your breath stinks.......!~"

Kotaro sighed once again. This is becoming a habit. "Well, I don't want you hurt, If there is anything I can do to help, just tell me."

Kotaro turned to Renee. "Chimera?"

"Thank you, Kotaro," she smiled brightly. "...just one thing. If you see my brother... can... you please tell him that I'm waiting for him? That I at least want to know why he left. I won't stop him or anything. Just... let me know he's okay," she said. "If you see him. Just if you see him."

She turned to Renee too. "Memories... perhaps?" she sat by the chair and breathed in.

Renee continued to laugh, the memory eventually fading as another came forth. She didn't see how, but she saw her parents were dead. It looked like they had been shot. A man in a labcoat stood before her.

"So...... they're gone...... and they took me........."

Kotaro nodded. "I'll tie him to a pole until he tells me if I have too." Kotaro smiled to show he was joking. "I'll make sure to find out. Thats a promise."

Kotaro looked at Renee with concern. "Sounds like a nightmare to me."

Resha laughed weakly, feeling the pill's effect weakening. It's getting less and less effective already. She feared it will not work the next time she drinks them. The side effects were too much to bear recently too.

"Thank you, Kotaro. Don't hurt him too much," she joked back. "I appreciate it."

She sighed. "We have to let her be. When her memories regain fully, it will be erased - the bad memories, anyway. It has to be done. It's torturous, I know. But... it will keep her human by the end."

Renee then received a memory of the cloning process. Resha was in it. It showed her creating her. The body she was in....... it was exactly the same. since entering it, her body hadn't changed one bit from its original look. It grew. Other then that, it was the same. The screams of the girl echoed in her ears.

Kotaro smiled. "Like I said multiple times, and I have adopted it as my slogan. I would do anything to help my friends."

Kotaro placed his hand on Renee's head. It was sweating, as if she was scared. "Resha, I think she may be remembering something bad."

"Thank you. You're very kind," she said, leaning her head on the bed.

She kept her eyes open for as long as she could and watched him touch Renee's head. "...yes-oh!" she quickly stood up and attached a wiring on Renee's temples. Then opened the monitor.

"Her memories. We can see it here."

And the monitored showed of the cloning process, Resha as a child, working on it. That even Resha was surprised. She knew she helped in the experimentation. But... "I... did the cloning?" she muttered in horror. She wronged Renee twice.

Renee's memory disappeared from the monitor, covered by red. All Renee could see in this memory was red. Soon, it disappeared, and Renee saw the face of a scientist.

"Hello, Renee. How are you feeling?"

Renee straightened up in the memory, getting up, and sliding her legs off the bed. ".........."

"She must still be covering" Said the scientist. He layed a revolver in a table in front of her. The gun had one rubber bullet. Renee heard a fly buzzing behind her as the scientist pulled down a target. Renee grabbed the revolver and fired the bullet off at the fly. It hit it, and smashed it agenst the wall.

The scientist laughed. "Better then predicted! Much better!"

Renee's eyes were blank as a name went through her head.

"Elizabeth......" Renee said.

"She knows the girl's name?" The scientist questioned. "Her memory of past must return to her, it seems. Resha, help me. She needs more work."

The screen went black.

Kotaro grinded his teeth as he saw the events on the screen. Not because Resha had done the cloning, but because she couldn't remember it. “This is insane. We were created at the same time. Why haven't I remembered anything? And you... You were so young. How were you able to do that?” Kotaro had a thought. “Resha, I'm going to go into her memories. While I am, I want you to check MY brain.”

Resha was rather horrified at what she saw despite holding some of the events in her memory. But why were they fragmented? Some she can't remember at all. Some were vague and some were ever clear.

She looked at Kotaro. "I.. I... I was... told to...." was her struggled answer then she gripped on Kotaro's arms. "You can't! You'll be intervening on the brainwaves, and damage her neurons! If... you make a mistake, that is. And the probability is high..."

Resha felt dread.

Renee's memory took a skip to only a week later. She was still getting used to her body with the whole walking around and everything. She even fell and hit her head on a desk before. She had begun to cry, as her head was bleeding a little. Resha happened to had walked by and notice her. She automatically took her to fix her wound and check the damage. Renee's head came out fine as Resha smiled.

"Gave me a shock there, Renee." She told her. Renee lowered her head and apologized. Resha lifted her chin. "Don't be sorry, Renee~ We know your having difficulties adjusting. But, next time your hurt, be sure to ask someone nearby to bring me to you, ok?"

Renee sniffled a little and nodded. "Ok, Resha."

Resha smiled. "There we go~"

Kotaro was looking at the screen as the memory flashed. He heard what happened, but his eyes were focused on the person in the background. He was in an orange tube, the numbers B-15 tattooed on his left shoulder. After tending to Renee, they both walked toward the tank. “Your partner is coming by well.” Resha said as she checked a moniter by the tube. “Soon you will have a friend as well as allie.”

“Resha, I know the stakes are high, but I need to see if theres anything on me.” Kotaro looked at her. “Your the only one I trust to check my brain.”

Resha was shocked. And why does she not remember something so important? I... I... worked on... both Renee and Kotaro... My two friends... I... did... them wrong.

She nodded meekly at Kotaro, still shocked, and now a feeling of dread.
And prepared a wiring on his temples as well.

"...careful..." she said, refusing to look at him, ashamed.

Renee smiled at Resha's words. "I won't be alone anymore?~"

Resha smiled back. "Thats right~ After he's ready, you two can hang out together, just like best friends."

Renee smiled at the boy in the tube. "I can't wait to meet him~" Renee said, a bright look on her face.

Kotaro laid down on a table next to Renee. “If she starts to get in trouble, don't disconnect me. And if you find anything wrong with me in my brain, don't fix it without telling me first.” Kotaro closed his eyes as he felt a slight tug.

Kotaro was in the lab. Renee and Resha were sitting at a table. It had skipped to a week later. A door burst open as a scientist walked in. “His body is ready. Come on.”

The tube lifted and the body inside stood up as it's eyes opened. Resha was the first to speak. “Good to finally see you awake.” It's eyes darted around the room. It didn't speak back. Kotaro watched the memory. “So it starts here.”

Resha nodded at his instructions. "But how would I even tell you..."

She watched the monitor, as she checked every once in a while their brainwave patterns.

In the monitor, she watched.

Resha as a child looked really excited with finally the latest experiment was finally completed. Renee would have a playmate too.

As she was about to see if he was truly a success, a man darted into the laboratory. Her brother. "Resha," he called out. He was just a few years older than her, still just teenager. "Are you done with your dolls?"

"Mou, big brother. They're no longer just dolls. They have souls. They function like humans - I already explained that already! Lieutenant Garsher taught me cloning too - it's complicated but he said it'll be useful and that I have 'talent' for it," she pouted, but she showed him. "But see? He is finally complete."

Zane sighed, but smiled. "Right. My bad. I'll see you when you're done. This isn't my thing," and before he left, he looked at her seriously. "Tell Garsher to stop failing experiments then stay away from him; he's not a good man."

Renee smiled at the boy. Her new friend was now standing in front of her. Before she knew it, Resha was showing them to someone else. She heard Resha mention cloning. She didn't know what the word meant. She felt compelled to go outside all of a sudden. She ran past Zane, smiling as she went outside, stretching. She enjoyed the feeling of the sun on her skin. She walked around a little, making sure not to stray too far from the others. She did some twirls while she was outside.

Kotaro watched the memory, taking in every detail.

Kotaro began to walk around the lab. A scientist approached him. “Evening Kotaro. Come here.” Kotaro looked at the man and followed him. The scientist led him to Resha. “This is Resha. She wiil be giving you whatever you need but you show her respect.” Kotaro looked at Resha. “Re...sh..a?”

Little Resha looked at the experiment named Kotaro. "Hello, ! Yes, my name is Resha. And you are Kotaro. Ko-ta-ro," she said waving at him. "It's like he said - if you need anything, you tell me," she said in her child voice, full of excitement. "Believe it or not, I will be your doctor from now on. So whatever wrong you might feel, you tell me ASAP, okie?"

Resha, tired as she was, watched the other monitor, for Renee's memory.

She twirled and twirled happily, like carefree child, despite being experimented and cloned for combat.
Zane (I got permission from him) watched her oddly. So he called out to this girl. "Renee, right?" he talked to her gently. "Are you good friends with Resha? Are you happy now?"
