Tosh looked up at Durin, giving a genunine smile, letting the bird perch on her shoulder. "Hehe, you're an awesome bird~" Tosh chuckled.

"Hey, Tosh," Rei said, waving back. She eyed Durin a moment. "Zergio, you decided to share him with Tosh?" she asked with minimal surprise.

Durin chirped, and seemed to nod his head

Tosh hugged Durin, somewhat cradling like a baby. "And he's soooooo cute too~" Tosh chimed happily, stroking Durin's head again.

Rei smiled and sat down between the two, petting Durin once. "Well, true, you do live here. We're an odd little family, I suppose."

"Me? 'Lil ole meh?~" Tosh joked before chuckling a bit. But she cleared her throat, taking on a serious tone a bit. "You're right. besides you guys knowing that I'm a wanderer and an alchemist, you know absolutely nothing,"

Durin escaped her grip and began walking across the floor, sitting beside Will and leaning on him

"Well... lets see here. It's very vague but a bit after I was born in Xing, my mom and dad moved to Amestris to join the military, to try and contribute to the peace there was at the time." Tosh started, pulling out two worn and somewhat torn books from her bookbag. One was obviously smaller than the other but the smaller one has more beauty despite its apparent age.

Rei watched the girl, curiosity about the books welling up inside her. However, she resisted the urge to disrupt Tosh. "She'll explain soon enough."

Tosh's expression seemed to have darken some. "After Meyer rosed to power and did all that he has done, my mom wrote in her grandmother's diary. My great-granny described what has happened back when peace finally fell upon all the bordering regions and Amestris. It was discontinued so my mom started writing in all about the peace ever since she got it. But my mom also wrote in the diary how her and my Dad was disgusted and infuriated about what he had done. She even wrote that she was going to confront Meyer about this with my Dad."

Tosh went quiet before she started again. "The day after my mom and dad went to see Meyer, a letter was sent to my house. I sometimes got the mail for them but the letter was a bit unfolded and I read it. ...it said that my mom and dad were executed for treason...when I knew fully well after reading this that he just got rid of them when they opposed him......" Tosh's eyes dropped to the floor, melancholy and anger all mixed into one settling into her stomach. The despair took up most of the solution.

Rei silently placed her hand on Tosh's shoulder and stared hard at the floor. Far too many kids were living lives far too difficult for anyone to bear. She shook her head. "It's all so stupid."

A smile crossed Tosh's face when Rei put her hand on her shoulder. "I was scared. So I got my mom's diary and one of the alchemy books from their small library and fled my house. I was afraid they were going to come after me."

She ran her hand through her hair, sighing all the built up emotions she has pushed down over the years away.

Will looked down. "Its one thing to have them killed by a gang, but killed by the justice they serve? Thats twisted. The military is becoming the new evil......"

"I suppose you hate the military now, huh?" Rei said softly. "The government is so corrupt right now."

"So anyways, I became homeless, a child of poverty living on the streets, the only thing keeping me company was the books leftover by my parents. I was almost on the verge of death from starvation a few times, which is why I built up some sort of immunity, and a group of homeless kids took me in. They fed me with little food they had or stole. It was like I had a family again."

Tosh let out a shuddering sigh before continuing. "I started practicing alchemy 2 hours a day a bit after they took me in just in case the military might try and come after me. Which they did. AA guy on patrol spotted me praticing and told a commander who told Meyer. Of course he became intrested and ordered my drafting. If I resisted, Take me by force. They almost did, but at a price, they people who protected and saved me for 3 years, died. The soldiers mercilessly shot them down in cold blood. I was able to hold them off and escape. But one of the guys patrolling and watching the strife jumped me, which is how I got this scar."

Tosh ran a finger on the scar under her eye. A strong reminder of what the Military has done to her life.

"I pushed the guy with my wind alchemy off the roof, which killed him. After that day, I lived my days as a wanderer, collecting money from assisting people, and trying to find a way to stop the Military and restore the peace that was once here. This scar, is my resolve." Tosh said before standing up. She set her books down on the bed and turned to leave.

"You can read em if you want Rei, I know you're anxious for research. And one more thing..." Tosh started down the stairs. "I'm part of the Resistance, do not tell a sound." Her words were almost a whisper before she left the library and her new family for a bit.
