"Only if I didn't mean 'I never said you did spend all your time upstairs'," Rei said, sticking her tongue out at Will. She handed a book to Emi. "You might enjoy this one. Unicorns and whatnot."

"Mhm, they could be. Some peoples do?! I must try it!" Emi said to Zergio, she took the book off of Rei and looked at it carefully before hugging it. "Yays! Unicorns are awesomes, yeps! My book!"

Will threw the book up, walking forward and stopping in front of Emi, catching the book and bowing slightly before giving her the book, standing back up.

"Don't worry Rei, we all say the wrong word here and there ^^"

"Sure, make fun of me. I'm only supplying you with a place to stay," Rei said, laughing. "Are both books to your satisfaction, Emi?"

Emi took the book from Zergio and hugged that one as well. "Yesh, thank you Rei! They is both awesomes! And mine so I shall rule the world! Hehe!" Emi started to jump around while keeping hold of the books.

"Hmmm, oh yeah! Then I shall pay so they can be mine and I can rule the world! Yays!" Emi looked over to Zergio. "Awwws nos! You might hurt yourself if you keep falling over! And hurting yourself would be bad!"

"I'm sure he's fine," Rei said as she walked over to Will. She pat him on the cheeks. "Hey, you're scaring Emi, Zergio."

"Are you sure he is alright?! I mean, he doesn't really look alright, what if he did hurt himself! That would be bad! Really bad, mhm." Emi walked up beside Rei.

Rei grew concerned by Zergio's lack of response. "Emi, will you go downstairs and ask the baker for a bucket of water and a rag, please?" she asked calmly, trying to keep the girl from panicking.

"Huh?! Yeah, of course!" Emi ran to the stairs and down them entering the bakery and quickly asked for a bucket of water and rag. She then waited impatiently as he went to retrieve them.

Will, due to his recent lack of sleep, had become sick. It was nothing serious, but he was in no condition to be working. He had been pushing hard to sell his product, and has had to work graveyard shifts secretly to make up the lost revenue.

"Will," Rei whispered, trying to wake him. "C'mon, I don't have enough medical knowledge to help you if it's something serious. You need to wake up. Come on."

She looked around the room as though a doctor would appear if she only looked for him. When this did not happen, she looked back at Will. "Don't do this to me, kid."

Emi thanked the baker and took the bucket and rag when he returned then raced up the stairs, trying not to spill the water, and made her way back to Rei. "Here you go!" She handed the bucket and rag over.

Rei took the water and rag from Emi and thanked her. She looked back down and inwardly sighed with relief as Will opened his eyes. "Hey, kid," she said softly. "Can you walk or should I carry you to bed?"

Emi stood there and gave a small clap when Zergio opened his eyes. "Is he going to be alright?"

Will gave a weak smile and got up, going to organize the books.

"Im fine, i don't need to go to be-"

Will fell onto his knees.

"... maybe I should......"

"Off to bed you go," Rei said, picking the boy up. She smiled at the way her mind phrased it - swept him off his feet. "Emi, could you bring that stuff upstairs with me?" she asked, jerking her head toward the bucket and rag. She then took the ill boy upstairs and laid him on his bed.

Will didn't resist Rei taking him to bed. and it wasn't just because he was too weak to. He slid under the covers and closed his eyes.

Rei felt the boy's forehead and inspected his eyes. "No more late nights for you," she said, wetting a rag and ringing it out. As she placed it on his forehead she added, "I mean it. We can't have you passing out at random times." She looked over at the covered birdcage in the corner of the room meaningfully.
