"Do you know what this is?" Rei asked, climbing into the cart and gently moving one of the blankets the bird was resting on.

"No...... I don't have much knowledge about birds."

Will got into the cart and sat down, looking at it with a uncontrollable face of happiness.

"But I really like it~"

Will reached out to stroke its feathers

[Yoyo]

"That," Rei said, watching the bird in fascination. "Has been called a firebird. It's not like a phoenix, covered in fire. When it's grown, its feathers will look like fire, though. Long and flowing, brilliant reds and oranges and golds."

She looked up at Will. She smiled somewhat slyly, eyes bright red. "They're thought to be extinct."

Will stroked the birds feathers and picked it up in cupped hands

"Its so cute~ A firebird you say? Could you tell me more about them?~"

Will put it in his lap, leaving space on the ground for it to walk around.

[Yoyo]

"I can certainly try," she said. "All I know is from a brief skimming of a page of a book. I didn't read it so I can't tell you a whole lot right now. I do know, however, that we need to give it something to eat. It eats the same things other baby birds do."

[zergio]

"Hmm...."

Will reached over the cart to his jar of worms

"Fishing purposes"

He pulled one out, and held it to his new little friend

"Like worms?"

[Yoyo]

"Yes, but you can't just feed a baby a whole worm," Rei said, smiling. "The mother bird chews it up before giving it to her babies."

[zergio]

"Right. Well, here goes...... I need to find a better way later....."

Will plugged his nose and began chewing on it, positively revolted. He then looked down to find the firebird chirping, holding its mouth open. Will then threw a shirt on Rei so she couldn't see, and transfered the chewed worm from his mouth to the birds, the firebird swallowing it all.

"Bleeeeeeh..............."

[Yoyo]

[Insert Yoyo's reaction here:]

Rei covered her mouth as she watched Will, unable to believe what she was watching. She slowly pulled the shirt off her head, trying to keep a straight face. She wiped a tear from her eye.

"Will," she said, using his real name on accident. "I just meant that you had to smoosh it up before giving it to the bird. You didn't have to, you know, chew it yourself."

[zergio]

"..............."

Rei then saw the most epic facepalm she has ever seen, Will leaving a deep red handmark on his face and looked sick. The firebird was happy though, it chirping.

[Yoyo]

Rei rubbed Will on the back, laughing. "You'll have quite the story to tell your children some day," she said, smiling. "If you want, I won't mention this to anybody else.

"Well, I suppose I wouldn't anyway," she added after a pause. "This bird needs to be kept a secret if we want to keep it safe."

[zergio]

The bird was climbing up Wills clothing using its claws, eventually ending up on his shoulder.

"If I would fight, I could protect him........."

[Yoyo]

Rei grew serious, leaning against the opposite wall and crossing her arms. "You don't know how to fight?"

[zergio]

"No...... I never wanted to learn....... because I was introduced into life killing techniques before the basics..... all I can do is distract people to make a get away...... all I wanted was a peaceful life......."

Will took the reins, the bird still on his shoulder

"Lets talk about it in central, after we drop off our new buddy here, kay?"

[Yoyo]

Rei watched the boy as they began moving. "Fascinating."
