Rei took the water skin and took a quick drink from it. "Wolves?" she asked as she handed it back, surprising herself with the calmness in her voice.

"Yeah, wolves live in the forest I live in. I added in some prey, and give them some steaks and other meats every now and again. The wolves, in turn, guard me and don't go after my livestock, unless I forget to feed em. Don't get me wrong, they would like to et me up, but my terms please them, so they do the favor back. If I should try to cut em off, my life would be in danger. but because we work under the rules of equivalent exchange, we're on equal levels. Im lucky they even decided to let me live, let alone protect me. Our relationship is weird is the least I can say. In fact, they're almost like my partners. Thanks to them, I haven't been found in my farm, except for Tosh once. she flew over em."

Rei laughed. "Tosh would somehow do that, I suppose. Well, as long as you keep them happy I suppose it's a good arrangement."

She watched the trees go by as they bumped along the road. Her day was turning interesting, again. She was coming to expect it.

The box shook a lil

Rei watched it. "If it does hatch, I hope it hatches into something that isn't violent," she said, stretching. "If it's covered in fire or has no taste in what it's eating, it's not allowed to stay in my store when you're there."

"Don't worry. I don't plan to bring anything like that inside. I'll let it sleep in the cart, since the box is ready and all ^^ but, I'll bring my product inside so it doesn't pig out on it XD;"

"Good idea," she laughed. "Though the fire on the shell makes me think that it might burn your cart to ashes. We'll make it a home of stone or something if that's the case." She wiggled the fingers of her left hand as though to make a point.

"Yet another excellent point. We'll wait until it hatches, then." Rei smiled and settled in her seat again. She mentally ran through a list of creatures that the egg could hatch into, both real animals and those from fiction. As strange as the egg was, she could only assume that it would be straight from one of her books.

"That wouldn't be good."

"You just want to get out of paying for rent," Rei laughed. "Though it would help with food while you and Tosh are both here. Another time, perhaps. I'll help you unload in there." She leaned forward and hugged her knees again. "Young, but nice."

Renee was racing down the road, and she decided to stop. She thought back on what she did.

She opened the door and stepped out, the breeze blowing in her hair, the night sky with the stars shining, and the tree's that surrounded her.

Kotaro had finally caught up with Renee. He ran quickly behind her. “Renee, I know your mad, but you shouldn't do this!” He could tell that if this continued, she would be on the run.

Renee let the wind blow her hair around as it waved in the air. She closed her eyes as she heard Kotaro run up to her.

"I went too far, didn't I?"

Kotaro nodded. “Way too far Renee.” He walked closer to her. “If you keep this up they will be after you forever.” Kotaro closed his eyes. “I don't want to leave knowing your going to be constantly running.”

Renee kept her eyes closed.

"Im stopping it there, Kotaro. I will turn myself in, and face my punishment. I let my anger get the best of me" She stated.

"Don't mention it to anyone, ok?"

Kotaro shook his head. “Your not going without me.” Kotaro placed a hand on her shoulder. “It's not you they want Renee. They want the secret buried. Thats why I am going to find a new body.” Kotaro closed his eyes. “Forgive me for this.” Kotaro felt a small pinch. His soul traveled into Renee, his body falling to the ground.

Kotaro was face to face with Renee's soul. “Renee, drive west toward the experimentation lab. Inside you will see a large orange tube. place your hand on it and close your eyes.”

Renee blinked as her soul stared at Kotaro's again. She took the wheel and drove to where Kotaro specified.
