Weapons by Ace

Ace smiled as he finished putting up the sign he had worked so hard on. The shack itself was a small cubicle he had stolen from an office building and put cardboard on top of. But the sign was handcrafted elegance with calligraphy!

It read:
Welcome one and all to the exciting Ace Weapons store. Feel no need to worry about your weapons needs any longer. Ace is a pro at making them. Just request it and like magic it shall be! We are also experts here at uranium deposits, and radiation burn treatment. We prefer selling to children for nothing helps the kiddies learn danger like dealing with highly explosive materials. We are a part of the firm Resistance Inc~ But we sell to anyone.
Warning: Due to orders from a lawyer I am apparently forced to warn you that overexposure to this shop can cause sickness due to the amount of nuclear hazards trafficked here. But I say that's stupid and do not fear!

Ace smiled and sat upon the chair he had stolen and waited for all his excellent customers to arrive.

Ace pointed proudly at the small shack across the street from a certain person's bookstore.

"Soon to be a chain of shops, believe me!" Q shouted.

[SamSeven]

"Who are you shouting at??" A girl asked the wildly gesticulating man, "and what's with that sign?? The writing's tiny"

Ace frowned at the girl who had appeared out of nowhere.

"I was leading my friends here from the hospital! And that sign is amazing."

Des finally shook his wrist loose of Rei's grip and stood in front of the store. He eyes it carefully and grinned. One thing caught his eye in particular. The word 'Resistance' really stuck out.

"Ace, why do you prefer to sell to Resistance members? They oppose the military. If my commander caught wind of this, things may get ugly."

Des looked across the street and saw Rei's bookstore as well. He shrugged and entered the shop and began to look around.

Rei also saw the word "resistance" and wondered what Ace had to do with them, but shrugged the thought off. She had bigger fish to fry. She was curious as to what Des would do about the sign, now. She simply stood at the entrance and watched, smiling.

This potential situation sounded like it could be trouble. May as well see what happens

"It is a pretty excellent sign," she replied, glancing at the words he used. 'Pesistance' and 'like magic' stuck out the most.

Ace pulled Rei's arm into the shop and then yelled the other woman over.

"Guys! This is my shop. Anything ya want? I am a pro with weapons! Des, you seem like the guy who likes to wave weapons. I saw you do it that once, yes? Also, I like the Resistance." Ace pulled out his Resistance badge. "Bam, certified."

[Destinykil]

Des' eyes rattled at the sight of the badge. But he tried not to let Rei or Ace see it. He shrugged and smiled slightly. He gazed around the shop looking at the various weapons Ace created.

"So certified Resistance huh? Sounds pretty...cool. How about you make me a better weapon? A new MP5K w/silencer and special bullets? Hollow point filled with explosive Uranium. Can I also get a batch of whistle bullets? I'll pay you handsomely."

Des put his hand in his back pocket ready to take out his wallet provided Ace agreed. He looked over at Rei and gave her a look of uneasiness. She already knew first hand what he does to Resistance members. Would she calm his rage inside?

Rei crossed to stand by Dwyrin. "It is pretty good," she said, examining the sign, but also keeping one eye on Des and Ace.

"Wonder what will happen here."

[SamSeven]

Why had the situation gotten so tense?? How??


"I wonder if it's a good idea, though," she said to Rei in what was hopefully an unreadable tone. She stepped into the little weapons hut, trying to ease some of the tension, and glanced around.

Ace smiled to the two ladies. "Anything I can do for you two fine people? Your beauty makes my poor little shop glow. I know now I can never work here again, for it will always seem empty in comparison."

Ace spun around to Destinykil. "Of course I could." Ace took out a knife and piece of carboard and started drawing circles across it. "But this is a highly advanced weapon process that would take the average manufacturer weeks at a time to process. Just getting the parts alone will take quite a while. Plus uraniums is not something they sell in high stock."

Ace took out a box and began throwing pieces onto the cardboard. "Not to mention there's the fact that a lot of the things you asked for are highly illegal. I could get in a lot of trouble for getting you this."

Ace smiled and put his hands together as the pieces came together. "Here you go. One MP5, specialized uranium bullets hollowed out with whistle bullets. And I've even added my emblem to the side. Resistance INC will be forever remembered on those you kill! I hope you enjoyed your shopping experience."

Des' anger began to flare up. His eyes started to shift from hazel to gold. The fact that Ace put a Resistance emblem on his gun really made him crazy. He didn't know what to do. Since Rei knew Ace he tried to hold back but the anger was consuming him.

"Are you serious? Do you not see my clothes? MILITARY. AND YOU DARE PUT A RESISTANCE EMBLEM ON MY GUN! This is an outrage. You will suffer for this."

Des pulled out his old Mp5 and pointed it at Ace but then quickly shifted it and placed it at the forehead of Dwyrin. He proceeded to pick up the new MP5K and point it at Ace. The blood in his veins were pumping like crazy.

"This is ridiculous. You best remove this cursed emblem or Dwyrin and you will both be blood spatters on these walls."

Rei placed one finger of her left hand on the gun and pushed it away. She took a step forward to stand partially between the two.

"Please refrain from pointing this thing at innocent bystanders," she said calmly. "Your argument is with Ace, not Dwyrin."

Innocent bystander?? Well, resistence or not, she technically didn't need to be involved in this. Unless she wanted to abandon Ace and Rei to this dangerous person.
And that just wasn't happening. Especially with the adrenaline rush of having a gun shoved in her face for the second time.
She bunched her eyebrows together,
"Besides, won't your masters be angry if their dog is found killing civilians with a gun marked by the resistence??"

Ace smiled and put his hands up. "You got me. I surrender. How careless of me, Mr. Military."

Ace put his hand across the Resistance mark and tapped it. The gun disassembled and he reassembled it in his hand and aimed it at Desl. His other hand grabbed hold of Des's gun and aimed it in the air.

"My Resistance mark actually has an alchemical sign on it in the R. It's tiny, but no one said Alchemy transmutation circles had to be large, did they?" Ace let go of Des's hand and stepped back. He aimed the gun at Des a fair distance away.

"I can forgive you for not liking the Resistance mark, however, it is my company. But pointing a gun at a friend? And a lady? That is absolutely unforgivable," Ace growled. "Get out of here before I drop you."

Des watched as his new gun was taken from him and the other aimed into the air. He didn't know what to make of the situation. With Dwyrin mocking his loyalty and position, Rei stepping in between and Ace pointing his own weapon at him this was quite a stalemate for him.

Luckily, Des wasn't just an ordinary military person. He had picked up some alchemy from Rei a few weeks ago during their random encounter. Even though it wasn't much he wouldn't run away from a Resistance hotspot.

"This is quite the predicament. How dare you mock me Dwyrin, you will soon pay for that. And Rei, how could you do this? Ace, I suggest you aim that gun elsewhere or you and this shop will go down."

Des seemed more than calm about the situation only because of the adrenaline running through him. He knew he was outmatched with all three against him but he didn't fear. As Des gazed around the room he saw opening and closings. What could happen and what would happen.

Soon Des made his move. He lifted up his leg and drove it into the ground, the mini pistol from his hidden pouch slid out into the air and he grabbed it. He slid behind Dwyrin and grabbed her by the neck aiming the gun at Ace who had his trained on him.

"Rei, don't do anything foolish, i'll die and take her with me. Ace drop your weapon and we can settle this."

Des began to sweat and his vision got slightly blurry but not to the point where he couldn't see. The pistol trained on Ace and his massive arms squeezing at the throat of Dwyrin. He had not a clue what to do next. He began to think of what Rei would do as well. He knew if she acted with her automail and alchemy this could be it for him.

Rei clenched both fists, her breath hissing between her teeth. She had hoped that the threat of her alchemy would have been enough to stop Des from doing something stupid, but she had been wrong. Rei looked around the room, not sure what she was looking for. She half turned and punched the table beside her, watching Des out of the corner of her eye. The table splintered.

"I can't do anything. Again!"

The second Des had begun to move, Dwyrin had slipped the titanium ring off her finger and held it in her palm. It was hard to think with the air being cut off from her lungs.

From her peripheral vision she saw Rei strike a table, and it splintered, also catching Des' attention - that was her chance. She concentrated and felt the ring flatten out and elongate in her hand, making it a small four inch spike of titanium. Without hesitation, she drove it into his thigh, and his grip weakened. She ducked out from under his arm, pulled out the spike and lunged across the room to escape hisreach.

Ace sighed with relief when he saw Dwyrin get away from Des's reach. "I'm happy your safe, miss."

He locked eyes with Des. "There's no honor in this, sir. And I wasn't paid for my work, either. So why don't you put the gun away and we can drop this unneeded confrontation?"

Des watched as Dwyrin slipped away from him in slow motion it seemed. He grabbed his thigh and felt the blood protruding from it. He knelt down to one knee and ripped a piece of his jacket off and wrapped it around tightly to clot the blood. He looked at the splintered table Rei damaged, Ace staring at him in his slumped state and Dwyrin across the room.

"Damn. Dwyrin, you will pay for that. Believe me. You are all part of the resistance aren't you? I'll kill you all..."

Des pointed the pistol at Ace and fired but his arm slung up and the bullet pierced a small hole in the roof. Des' vision kept getting blurrier until he collapsed on the floor. The heavy breath of rage left him as he passed out. His finger relaxed on the trigger of the gun and he lied there motionless.

In his mind all Des could see was memories from his childhood. He induction into the military. The first person he ever killed. All the memories flashed before him until it reached the point where he and Rei met. The memories from there caused a slight smile to form on his face.

"Was this the end for me? Am I destined to die here from Resistance members? I sure hope not."

Those words echoed through his mind over and over.

Rei watched everything happen in surprise. She found herself relieved that everyone was alright, albeit a fainting Des. She stepped forward and took Des' gun, sticking it the back of her belt. She was surprised that the man had passed out so quickly. He had not lost that much blood and she was sure the pain could not have done it.

She shook her head to clear her mind of the logic of the moment. What she needed to do was figure out how to keep Ace and Dwyrin from going to prison and how to keep Mr. Military Man from killing someone, whether it be himself or someone else.

"Someone want to call an ambulance? If we can get him far enough away from here, we can probably make this look like an accident. From there it's simply a matter of convincing this big lug to let the matter go."

Everyone was silent as the big man dropped to the ground. Dwyrin nudged him with her toe before stepping closer, to see if she could figure out why he fell.
"Must be exhausted," she said to no on in particular. "An ambulance?? Seriously?? He just vowed to kill us all because we're resistence!" Slowly something dawned on her "Wait," she glanced at Ace and then let her gaze linger on Rei, "you're not. Are you??"

Ace looked at the man. "Hm, Dwyrin made a good point. The quickest way to deal with him is to kill him, hide the body in the river, and pretend this never happened. He's defenseless as is so this is the perfect chance. This will just be our little secret."

Ace stared at the two ladies then smiled. "Just kidding. Let me get an ambulance." Ace said as he picked up the phone and started dialing.
