"He's a human being!" Rei shouted, then covered her mouth with her hand. She took a breath before speaking again, calmer this time. "I side with myself in this matter. Resistance, military, it doesn't matter. A life is a life." She backed away from Des, rubbing her shoulder.

"Even if it belongs to an idiot."

[SamSeven]

She crouched down, next to the unconscious Des.
Tugged his hair a bit.
Rolled back his eyelids.
Lifted his hand before letting it drop back to the ground.

"Ok, maybe he is human. I'm just saying..." she shrugged.

[Des is now rushed to the hospital?]

"Hey, I called an ambulance on him. He did try to kill Dwyrin and stuff. So we were being cautious." Ace said.

[Yoyo]

[ He was impatient for the ambulance to get here. xD;]

"I get why. Believe me, I'm more surprised than any of you that I continue to stick up for him after what he's put me through." She sighed and ran her hand through her snow-white hair.

"What the heck am I doing here?"

[SamSeven]

"Then why are you??" she frowned and stood up, facing Rei. "Nevermind. How's your hand??" The splinters of table on the gound gave silent protest to what must surely be an injury.

Ace fell to his knees before the two women. "Poor angels? I hope the cruel man didn't harm you miss? Please, if you need any blood, take it from my own beating heart." Ace called to Dwyrin.

Ace looked over at Dwyrin and handed her some bandages from under the store. "I'd put them on you myself but I feel you wouldn't accept it."

[Yoyo]

"S'fine," Rei muttered and shoved her hand in her pocket. "Don't you think we should get the evidence of the Resistance put away before the ambulance comes? No need for you guys to get arrested."

[SamSeven]

"I'm not bleeding,' she smiled good-naturedly at Ace, "and taking blood from a still beating heart seems... unhygienic at the very least. But thanks."

She glanced at Rei, not buying it. She must just be trying to put on a tough act.

Dwyrin clapped her hands together, "Alright! About the evidence... How do we get rid of a weapon hut??"

Ace put his hands on the floor on the circle he had drawn under the floor and smiled as the place shrunk down to a metal suitcase.

"I guess I can hide the shop for a while. What a pain." Ace grumbled. "I hope you enjoyed your shopping experience my first and only customers. Come back again, well, at some point."

[Yoyo]

Rei closed her eyes and sighed. "Of course he would be able to do that. He's only increased in his ability to annoy me over the years."

She ran both hands through her hair, leaving them there. "So how do we explain his wound? He tripped and fell or something?"

[SamSeven]

She admired the suitcase approvingly, "That is a neat trick."

Rei looked a bit stressed. Dwyrin turned to her, "Fortunately, I don't think we have to. Well, at least I know I won't be the one doing any explaining. One military man, I can deal with, but I'd rather not be surrounded by them, you know?? So, I'm gonna make like a banana and split, you should do the same. You've done enough good by calling the ambulance."

"To be honest, Rei, this doesn't involve you as I don't think you were a threat to him. Just worry about yourself, alright? You don't need to be dragged into these kind of affairs. If asked, I'll just say we had a mishap at my store. If worst comes to worst, I can take the blame for all of this." Ace spoke.

"I think it's best we do as Dwyrin suggested. This way, too, we can keep from getting anyone else in trouble. See you guys around." Ace slung the suitcase over his shoulder and walked down the street and out of sight.

[Ace Exits: Night everyone! Also, when you two are done here, we're officially closing the Shop till a later date.]

Rei nodded, the same thought having occurred to her though she had hoped to avoid the option. "Then I suppose we split up here," she said, glancing at the unconscious Des on the ground. Sirens were now audible and the needed to leave. "Hopefully the next time we meet, it will be under much better circumstances."

That said, Rei crossed the street to the bakery. She stopped at the door and looked at Des, still on the floor, then entered the store.

Dwyrin watched Ace and Rei go, then cast one more glare at the man on the ground before hurrying away from the blare of the sirens.
