"Oh, uhm, okay!" she smiled - she didn't want to make the same mistake of prying and get Tosh mad at her. "So what is Tosh up to?" :3

"I don't think anybody even knows I'm up here," she said angrily to the air. She was sitting in a stool, with her feet crossed on the bartop.

Ace doesn't advertise. Maybe I should have thought of that ahead of time. She sighed and tilted her head back, resigned to having to come up with something soon.

When Resha left, Zane came out of hiding. She frequents this place too much.

He noticed someone with an angry mood and realized it was Dwyrin. "Oh, Dwy?" He tested, unsure of how she will react.

A voice startled her out of her contemplation, and she jumped a bit, then smoothly swung her legs down and spun on the stool. There was a head poking out the top of the stairwell. {I'm upstairs ^^}
A head she recognized.

"Ah, Zane. Never would have thought you'd be the first person up here," she said with a casual air, "is this business or pleasure??"

She didn't seem to mind nor did she seemed like she would take out whatever irritated her beforehand on him and decided it was okay to relax.
He continued up and sat beside her, on a stool.

"Why not both?" he said, turning to her. "Give me the best you can."

She smiled and stood. "I usually do," she replied going around to the other side, pulling a fairly large bottle of liquor from under the cabinet. She poured two shots, passed one across the bar, and looked back at Zane. "First drinks consumed here, ever. Cheers."

He raised the shot glass slightly and drank it. "Congratulations on your first selling," he said and asked for another, smiling. "But I never knew you worked here."

She refilled both shotglasses, "Thanks," and passed one back across the small space. "I didn't work here until just recently. But, really, there hasn't been a whole lot of actual work involved." She narrowed her eyes a bit, "I have to advertise or something." She took her shot and continued, "But it's fine for now."

Zane smiled. "I prefer it this way, not so many people," he said. "But I suppose that would be unfavorable for your business."

He took the shot glass with a thank you and drank it. "Really good, this."

"Well, you did ask for the best I had." She refilled both glasses once more and pushed them both across the bar, then walked around to the other side, and took a seat.

Sighing, she replied, "The business can handle itself. There'll be no stopping us soon," then she smiled slightly, as if to a private joke. "Are you staying downstairs??"

"It didn't fall short of being called best, then," he smiled and took the shot glass again but didn't drink it just yet.

"No stopping you guys soon, hm?" he mused out loud, perhaps she might spill something out. He shifted, the counter at his back and using it as a backrest. "Yeah, I am. But I won't probably stay for too long. Do you stay here too?"

"Glad you approve," she smiled and held up the glass for a second, before tilting her head back for the shot, then setting the empty glass on the bar in front of her.

There wasn't noise coming from dowstairs like there usually seemed to be, so Dwyrin assumed it was getting late. The thought reminded her of the need for a clock. She rested her elbows on the edge of the smoothed wood of the counter.

"Not too long?? Moving on, hm??"

"I make it a point to give credit where it's due," he said and drank the shot.

"Hm?" he said, not really catching on, too focused on one thought. "So do you stay here?"

Without waiting for him to ask for another, she poured twice more. He was quite right - it was good stuff.

And here I was thinking he might not notice.
"I stay in many places," she answered, continuing the mental game of hide-and-go-seek.

He smiled at her, silently giving thanks. Things like these are luxuries he likes to indulge from time to time.

"Oh?" he drank. "I wonder why. Do you have many people you're hiding from?"

"Hiding is such a strong word." She drained her glass. "I like to think of it as having the ability to select any number of locations for maximum efficiency."

What kind of efficiency depended on whatever it was she was trying to avoid at the time of choosing. But she didn't need to tell him that. Instead, she asked, "Does your work usually take you far??"

"Maximum efficiency..." he laughed. "For hiding purposes?" For some reason, he enjoyed prying on this person. Since she's probably worth a lot of valuable information but that's the least of his reasons.

"That depends," he answered. "If I feel up to it."
