Cortlen strapped the gun to his back and raised the visor, his yellow eyes staring at the woman. "I would like to rent a room, also there is business I'd like to discuss." He walked up to the woman, and took his helmet off entirely, military grade buzz cut now grown out and shaggy. Cortlen whispered in her ear, "Resistance matters." He stepped away from the woman and nodded at the military doctor. "A pleasure seeing you again, young miss."

A smirk sprang to her lips at Resha's first comment. "Oh?? That doesn't sound very good, does it?? Was there something you needed from Ace as well??" she finished, trying to discern if the two of them were here together.

Movement caught Dwyrins eye and she glanced at the man as he pulled off his visor.
What peculiar eyes.
As he started to walk in her direction her hands unconsciously slipped behind her back and she stiffened as he leaned close to her and whispered.

There shouldn't have been any way for him to be sure of what he had just suggested. This was most likely bad.

Her eyes met Resha's over the mans shoulder for a moment as he pulled away from her. There wasn't much she could do or say in this situation, so keeping her face blank she took the best route...And pretended she hadn't heard him for the moment.
"I'll see what I can do about a room for you without Ace being here, but you'll have to give me a bit of time." she said, once more looking into yellow eyes.

Resha smiled heartily. "Oh, it's not bad, I promise. He has good things to tell about you. And well, actually, I was more of looking for big brother. I know he used to stay here a bit and so... have you seen him?"

She watched as he closed in on her and it vaguely gave her the impression they were together or probably knew each other quite well.

Resha nodded. "Yes. A pleasure~"

Cortlen walked to his chair and stood beside it, hand now on the muzzle of his gun as the hilt rested on the floor. His eyes were locked with the woman's and his face carried a stern gaze. "I trust that Mr. Ace is in the same situation as you, and the three of us could have a chat. And thank you for the room."

Zane hadn't been there in a while and it was fairly disheartening. She was sure he had a room, but other than that she had no idea where he was. Despite her usually deep suspicion of military personnel, she believed Resha and wanted to trust her.

"The last time I saw Zane he had come up to the bar. He didn't stay long, and I haven't seen him since, though I was hoping to," she told the other woman.

Racking her brain for a good response to the man in the suit, her eyes fell upon his rifle. "You also might want to discuss that firearm with him. Ace does good weapon work."

Resha smiled sheepishly. "Thank yous! It's a shame you didn't see him but oh, well! He'll come around," I hope, I hope, I hope! :O

Cortlen smirked, putting his helmet back on. "Well, he can admire this piece of work all he wants. No one touches this puppy except myself. Custom manufactured by the military back in my training days. This gun is just as blood stained as my past, and I intend to keep it that way."

"I'm sure he will." was all she could think to say to Resha.

Dwyrin then frowned slightly at the man. "Admiring doesn't pay. And no amount of alteration can take the blood off a weapon." She shrugged. "I was just throwing that offer out there."

"And it is an offer I will have to deny," he said, voice cold and raspy.
My family's blood is on my hands, and it's barrel. I must make sure that the blood of innocents will be carried to kill the blood of the guilty. But even with this, I must repay my debt.

"I heard familiar voices," Zane said as he entered the room. "I hope you don't mind the intrusion-," he stopped short when he saw Resha. "...oh, hey..." he was going to get in trouble now.

"BROTHER!" she yelled in surprise, happy but she wanted to smack him for disappearing all the time. "You're here! Wow!" she tackled him. "Where have you beeeeen? Dwyrin and I have beeeen waiiiiting!" she grinned.

"A family reunion as it seems," he said, voice even more raspy under the helmet. "Miss Dwyrin? I believe the sign said there was a bar in this building. In the mean time, that is where you will find me." Strapping his rifle onto his back, Cortlen made his leave to the bar. He could already begin to feel a militaristic air downstairs.

She watched the stranger traipse up the stairs almost wishing she didn't have to follow him.

Flashing Zane a smile Dwyrin said, "Speak of the devil! We were just chatting about you and your quiet disappearance. Unfortunately I can't leave my bar unattended-" she tossed her head slightly towards the staircase "but come up for a drink sometime. You too, Resha."

With that, she turned and headed up.

He smiled back. "Ah. I had a feeling I should come here. That explains it," and he nodded when she offered to go up for a drink. He wasn't worried.

"We'll be there. In a while since your friend didn't seem too happy for my intrusion." And he turned to Resha, hearing Dwyrin's footsteps wane.

"Yeah, I know. I'm not hiding, I swear," he said. "I just had some stuff I needed to do and didn't get back sooner than expected. You okay? Safe, no stupidities?"

Resha smiled. "I was expecting that excuse," she grinned. "But it's okay. Glad you're safe. And no! No stupidities, meanie!" she whacked him. "I never do stupid stuff! When did I ever-- okay, don't answer that, but I don't, I swear!

But youuuu? I'm the doctor here! No hurting, pain, hidden wounds and stuff?? "

Safely out of earshot from the military personnel downstairs he brought up the topic he needed to discuss. "From the feel I get from you, you are part of the resistance, are you not," he asked in a raspy whisper. "If that is the case, I have some very important information for you, it may be out dated, but information is valuable none the less."

Dwyrin walked behind the bar considering his words. "Pleasure to go with your business??" she asked indicating the many bottles behind her. "And you're right of course. Information is very valuable, indeed. What have you got for me??"

He smiled and pat her head. "I'm fine. No wounds whatsoever, ma'am."

Zane handed her a small bottle. "Here. At any rate, what are you doing here anyway? Aren't you supposed to be doing your doctor stuff?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Goodie!" she grinned and gingerly took the small bottle. "This is...?" she looked at him then at the bottle description and nodded. "Okay~"

She pocketed it and smiled. "Oh, oh! Well, yes. But I went out to find you!" she blurted out before she could stop herself. :O

He took a bottle of Rum and poured himself a glass. "Military grade files. A program that I was first in. I'm unsure if it was canceled, but the files are valuable none the less. It just shows how desperate the military is for a new tool," Cortlen said, sliding over a thick file. He raised the glass up , tipping the edge slightly to her. "You can keep that if I can keep this bottle of rum," Cort joked.

Dwyrin staved off the impulse to run the man through as he rudely reached for one of her bottles and poured himself a drink.

"The exchange is satisfactory," she said formally, "but if you ever reach behind my bar again I'll do my best to make sure you pull back a stump."

She flipped open the cover and leafed through the papers for a moment, scanning them quickly with her eyes then closed it and looked back at the man. "Would you tell me what you know about this program??"

He smiled. "Don't forget that," he then said and ruffled her hair. "You shouldn't do that. I'll go find you so no need to go out and find me. You usually end up in trouble that way. Anyway, what can you tell me?"

Ace walked in and sighed. After a very long trip it was good to be back in his apartment. He plopped behind his desk and saw that his desk had been hidden in a pile of paperwork. "Darn," Ace murmured as he looked through it. Bills labeled "Foreclosure!" and "Get out!" were in big red letters but he tossed them into the trash. He was tired and had better things to do. Like take a nap. Or find out where his assistant proprietor had run off to.

"Ohh, lots," she waved her hand and grinned, ignoring his first statement. "Well, they're pretty much just laying low for now. Other stuff, I guess, production-wise, they're working on it as thorough as they can. Quality more than quantity. I guess they realized by now that numbers aren't really going to do them much help when they basically really, reaaaaally fail."
