Dante walked up to the door and opened it, seeing Akio's body on the floor. "Wha- Akio!" He picked him up and brought him to the couch.

Tosh came down stairs, wondering what all yelling was about. "Who's down here?" she asked and saw Kotaro and Akio. "Oh no! What happened!"

Dante took a step back. "His names Akio. He's hurt Tosh." He started to wipe the blood off with his shirt.

Tosh rushed back upstairs to get first aid and a green seed. She put the seed in Akio's mouth. "Where's his wounds?" she asked.

Dante began to search. "One on his chest, three on his back and a large one over his arm."

Tosh made Akio swallow the seed, the wounds soon starting to heal up, but only into minor injuries.

Dante cleaned the rest of the blood and sat down. "Yet another one is hurt."

"It's not your fault.." Tosh said, wrapping up Akio's wounds.

Tosh leaned against him. She looked down before sighing. "I feel the same way.." she admitted.

Dante sighed. He put an arm around her. "The best we can do right now is help his wounds heal."

Tosh nodded in agreement, feel his hand on her arm. She hoped everything could work out in the end. "Hey Kotaro..." she started.

"If you don't mind asking... what was your family like?" she asked a bit nervously.

Dante sighed. "It wasn't the best of families Tosh. My dad was a military soldier and my mother a resistance rebel. Lira was too young to remember anything from that time. I told her our parents were killed on their way home from work by a gang. Of course, she still believes it." He looked at her. "But thats nowhere near the truth."

Tosh looked down, thinking about it. "That's awful...his parents enemies against each other..?" She then thought about Lira. Poor her. "I see..." was all she could say.

"My mother was kind, gentle, caring....always looking for the good in things." Dante closed his eyes. "My father was stern, like most fathers are, but strict on military practice. Too him, the military was everything." He looked at Tosh. "But he had no idea of my mothers resistance status."

Tosh let a quiet sigh of relief escaped. "Did he ever find out?" she asked.

Dante nodded. "He did. When I was still only 6 and Lira was 3. He found out through a resistance mole and was furious. My mother protested the military protocol he listened to and...." He closed his eyes, a look of pain on his face." "....He shot her."

Tosh's eyes widens and looked down, remembering her own parents were shot down. She closed her eyes to block out the memories. "And then...?"

"Then my father shot himself. He did love my mother, he just loved the military more. I watched the entire thing." He looked at Tosh. "I went to get Lira and run away when the military found us. They captured and separated us. They turned me into a state alchemist, killed me, then cloned me into what I am today. Lira was left in an internment camp. I rescued her though."

Tosh hugged Kotaro tightly. She couldn't believe he's been through this. She started to cry for him and for the people of her past.
