“Come on Renee.” He walked inside, pushing a couple doctors out of his way. He now had a clear view of who was hurt. “Kairo....”

A doctor walked up to Kotaro and Renee. “His organs are...fascinating. The heart and lungs seem to work triple the speed they should. He should recover but...” The doctor took off his glasses. “...At this rate, he will quickly die.” As the doctor spoke, others wheeled Kairo to intensive care to be looked after. “We'll tell you when he wakes.” The doctor left.

Kotaro stared blankly. Dead... Kotaro felt strange. His stomach lurched. He retched on the floor, blood mixed with the waste. No.... not another...

Kairo opened his eyes. He was on a surgical bed, surrounded by three doctors.

"He's awake."

Kairo shook his head. "Whats wrong with me?"

The doctor shook his head, explaining the situation. Kairo lowered his head. "Damn."

A doctor left the room and went to Renee and Kotaro. "He's awake. You can see him if you like."

Kotaro nodded. and stepped over the mess he had made. He didn't even talk to Renee. He had always hated Kairo. He was a murderer, an assassin, a thief. But he was his brother. Kotaro walked into the room and stood in the doorway. "Kairo."

Kairo looked up surprised. "Kotaro, what are you doing here?" The last time Kotaro had seen him in a hospital, it was only because he was family.

Kotaro gave no expression. He just looked at Kairo. "Was here visiting a friend. Saw you were hurt. Decided to check up on you." Kotaro shook his head. "The disease is really bad eh?"

Kairo snarled at the mention of the disease. "Won't be living long. But to die by a disease....I don't want to go out like that." Kairo raised his hand to eye height. "I want to die in combat. By someones worthy hand."

Kotaro just looked at him. "So what are you going to do? There isn't a cure."

Kairo looked at Kotaro. "Find a worthy man to kill me in a fight to the death. Either I kill him or he kills me." Kairo stepped off the bed.

Kotaro looked at him with an angry expression. "So you want your life to end with either your or someone else's death?"

Kairo thought for a minute. "Not anyone. YOU." He looks at Kotaro. "You have wanted to kill me for a while now. So why not have a hand on it now?" Kairo waited for Kotaro's response with a grim expression.

Kotaro stared at Kairo. "WHAT?!" Kotaro stared angrily at Kairo. "You want me to kill you?!"

"Either you fight me and kill me or I'll kill you." Kairo stared at Kotaro again with a grim expression. "I'll never forgive you if you don't! Do you want me to die while cursing your name!"

Kotaro stared angrily at Kairo, grinding his teeth. He didn't want to kill anyone. Even Kairo. He looked down at last, coming to a decision. "Fine."

"Good." Kairo walked over to the door. "I'll see you in the graveyard at Suden town. Its in the east." He walked out of the base, his head down and hands in his pockets.

Kotaro watched Kairo leave. He walked out into the hall and sat down on a chair. Everything is becoming a hell hole. Everyone is dying, and I have seen almost all of them. He raised his head. And now I'm going to be responsible for one. He stood up and looked in the room Renee was in. "I gotta go Renee. Hope your head feels better." He walked out of the base, contemplating on how he would get through this.

Tos finally came back to the hallway where she last met Kotaro, getting lost throughout the whole base, the receptionist helping her a few times. She saw the room where Kotaro had last been opened and walked inside, looking around. "Hm? Whats this room?" she asked. Then she looked around for Kotaro.

"Renee is fine, she just hit her head and needed to rest. Shes in the other room." Kotaro shook his head. All of this happening, all at once.

"Ahhh okay." she nodded happily, relieved that she is okay. She looks at Kotaro closely, tilting her head. "Are you okay? You seemed troubled..." she asked.
