Aki opened his eyes and looked at her.

"I Have to have authorization to save a friend? Psh, people these days."

"Yes, because you're under authorized grounds, you idiot," the doctor said and called out for Resha. "But the operation..." she said. "It wouldn't be good to leave her like this."

She shook her head. "We're not that ruthless. Let him," she pointed at Kotaro. "Do it. We're sending a different surgeon. You're not allowed, that's all."

Dante just stood there, keeping his anger hidden. There is always a reason the military does something. He glanced angrily at the doctor.

"This is a brain transplant. A complicated one at that. If you take her away, you might as well put her in a grave."

"That is not my problem. Resha is a military doctor - you have to respect that." She said and dragged Resha to the door.

"But," Resha struggled slightly and pleaded to let her work on the patient. "Who will be replacing me?"

She smiled. "A clone with your DNA, Resha."

"WHAT!!" Dante screamed on impulse, not caring if he was recognized. "You cloned her!" He grabbed the doctors wrist. "How dare you!"

Aki went over and released Kotaro's grip on the doctor.

"I apologize. He's usually well behaved and focused on saving lives, but whenever cloning is brought up, he goes into a furry. Apologize to her, Dante."

The doctor smiled. "No need, no need," she patted the head of Dante. "It's understandable. But I am on your side. I just found out about this recently and they want to test her abilities out to the extreme. She's just as good as Resha," she said. "It's unnerving.

She shook his head. "But orders are orders. Resha will not operate on both of you," she said. "The clone will." And she motioned for the clone to come in, and she was an exact replica of Resha.

"What..." she blinked. Then looked at Kotaro. "It's okay," she said, having a hard time to talk. "Is she really... as good as I am?" she said, her eyes wide.

Dante glared at the doctor. "When I find out who cloned her-" He punched the wall. "If anything happens to Resha or Maria I will kill everyone in this base."

Aki smacked Kotaro.

"Hey! Just because your angry, doesn't mean you get to throw around random threats!"

He said goodbye to Resha and the doctor, silently reminding Resha of the piece of paper she had. He closed the door with a smile, and turned to Kotaro.

"First, save her life. Then throw away yours if you don't care! Your risking Maria not getting the surgery at all by acting like a child! Now, put up with the clone, and work on the operation. But first...."

The doctor looked him in the eyes. "Feel free to hit me back."

Resha stood beside the doctor. "What's going on? That - that is no ordinary clone," Resha said, looking forward, her voice hushed.

The doctor pulled out a cigarette and attempted to light it. "No," she said, smoking and breathing out the smoke before continuing. "She's not. She's your clone but she was in a tube all her life, all of the knowledge compressed in her mind. She doesn't know anything else but medical know-how."

She smoked again. "She's actually better than you."

Dante did punch Aki. Hard, right in his jaw. After Aki fell to the floor he helped him up. "Sorry." He looked at the door. "They treat her like property." He gritted his teeth. "I'm going to find the bastards who are still cloning." He turned to Aki. "She is dear to me. Both of them. I don't want them hurt, but I just can't stand how they are treated."

Aki's jaw appeared to be broken.

He laid back down. "Thish hurtsh. Pleash put me tew shleep?"

The clone Resha moved swiftly, better than the real one without hesitation and speedily without compromising quality.

She put the doctor to sleep and looked at Kotaro. "Will you be assisting me or will you be in the way?" Her facial expression was emotionless, and her voice firm.

~Meanwhile, Resha contemplated. "If she's better than me, then I'm sure she'll be able to save the patients."

The doctor nodded. "No doubt about it. There is no hesitation in her heart, after all. But, this is a problem. Your brother will be furious."

Dante nodded and sruck the doctor on the base of his neck and shoulder, activatin the pressure point and sending him to sleep. "She's only a medical version of Resha. I will help her, but does she have any memories?"

He knew he would never wake up again.

"What memories?" the clone asked. "I am Resha. I created you," she said and sanitized her hands. "Less talk, more work."

~Resha sighed. "Yes, not good at all," she said. The doctor looked at her. "After this, we're going to have to kill her. Before Zane finds out."

Dante sighed. He didn't know what to do. He was mad that they cloned Resha, worried because Maria was about to be operated on, and he felt worthless not being able to do anything. Why is it whenever I try to help someone, I just put them into more danger? He clenched his fists and gritted his teeth. What can I do?

The clone shrugged. And started on the operation.
