Xing's Imperial Palace

[Kai]

As keixth entered the palace along with zane.
"nothing has changed here. . . . " Keixth said.
then proceeded to greet the servants that passed by.
then he asked one of the guards.
"where is grandpa now?"
then the guard answer
" the emperor is at the throne room waiting for you, prince"

Zane kept quiet the whole walk. For someone who overpriced his services, always seem to be out for money, living in grandeur never really piqued his interests.

"Hm..." he tapped Keixth. "Am I allowed to enter the throne room without an audience with the emperor?"

[Kai]

Keixth looked back at zane and said.
" yeah you are. . as long as i'm with you. your allowed to" keixth stated
Then they stopped infront of a large door. Adorned with a Golden dragon.

"well here we are. . . " keixth mumbled

Zane smirked, pocketing his hands. He was a casual kind of guy, formalities not his favorite thing.

"Good," he said. "Okay, royalty kid." He looked at the dragon. "Let's go."

As they entered the huge doors that's separating them with the emperor.
with a loud *Crreeeek*
Keixth saw his granpa on the center with a golden chair along with a few servants doing their duties.
He walked towards his granpa and bowed.
"Granpa, you request an audience with me?" Keixth answered slightly looking at his granpa.
His granpa grunted. "yes, I have. . .my dear grandchild" His granpa looked over to whom he was with.
"and i see you bought an old acquaintance of mine"

[Zane]

Zane bowed. "It's nice to see you again still healthy, emperor," he said, voice formal and all.

He watched as Keixth interacted with his grandfather.

[Kai]

"Gramps. . . . what did you want to talk about?. . Is it this urgent?" Keixth stod up facing his granpda.

"Not really. . . but it is about Xing. . and it troubles me deeply.." the emperor stated.
"your other cousins are quite useless at this situation." the emperor rubbed his chin.

[Zane]

Zane kept quiet, listening to their talk while browsing the room with his eyes. He saw a girl with beautiful blonde hair and in an extravagant dress walking towards them.

When she noticed him, and he recognized her the last time he was here, she waved at him and he returned the greeting with a wave too.

"Sir Zane!" she called out when she was near enough and looked at Keixth, hugging him. "Cousin Keixth! You've been missed."

[Kai]

Their talk was interrupted when someone called out to keixth.
He saw his cousin waving frantically at him.
"Hello there dear cousin" patting her back as she hugged him.
"how are you?" keixth questioned his cousin.
"oh and i see you know zane here" keixth said.

[Zane]

"Yes, cousin," she replied, with a glint in her eyes. "I have seen him a few times as per his visit for grandfather. He's such a good man," she fawned.

Zane bowed at the girl once. "I am flattered, princess," he said, smiling at her. "You are too kind. Prince Keixth and I have become good friends," at that he smirked at Keixth. "At any rate, I think the emperor would like to continue his announcement, yes?"

[Kai]

"Oh is that so my dear cousin. . that's very nice" keixth noticed that glint from his cousin's eye. Keixth just sighed at the thought.
"ahh. . yes. . " Keixth then turned to his granpa.
"I'm sorry for the interruption granpa" Keixth bowed.
"BAHAHAHAHA. . Nonsense! it's a reunion between families." the emperor laughed loudly.
"the matter that I will talk to you about is a union between a part of xing. . . It has seemed that the kingdom there is not willing to support us."
Keixth then stiffened. He has some idea on what was happening and he was hoping that it wasn't it.

[Zane]

His cousin smiled quaintly and stood beside Zane, who didn't seem so bothered; more like used to it.

Zane smirked at the emperor's announcement. He found great amusement to the kid's torment from time to time however, and it's rather normal for royalty. It shouldn't be a surprise.

"Then a union is in order then, correct me if I'm wrong, your highness?" he said, voicing his thoughts and the girl latching on his arm.

[Kai]

Keixth was sweating buckets. . . "I'm. . getting. . engaged!?" Keixth shouted.
"now, now my grandchild. . it's for the best of xing." The emperor said.
"B-b-b-but. . . why can't you go for the 1st one in line. . WHY ME!?" keixth said hysterically.

[Zane]

Zane stifled his laughter. "Congratulations, Prince Keixth," he said, smirking.

[Kai]

"shut up. . . " Keixth still furious about the news.
"grandpa, . . why me? " Keixth asked
"Cousin, make sure you invite me to your wedding" His cousin giggled.
"your not helping me dear cousin" Keixth pinched the bridge of his nose.

" If you may know the emperor of the northern kingdom chose whom his daughter would wed. and luckily they chose you" The emperor stated. Amused by the reaction his grandchild gave.

" Now that's just unfair. . . really unfair." keixth said

[Zane]

Zane smirked, amused. And with what his cousin said, he just had to laugh. "Invite me too, Prince Keixth."

"Ah," Zane nodded. "You should be honored, Prince Keixth, to be chosen personally by the Northern Emperor for his daughter - his only daughter, if I remember it right, yes?"

"Quite right, sir Zane," the blonde cousin said, giggling. "The sole princess, that she is."

[Kai]

"oh. . shut up both of you" Keixth rubbed his temples.
"this is getting complicated. . . . but why me? surely my older cousins are far more. . err.. . .suited?" keixth asked.

[Zane]

Zane was smiling knowingly at Keixth but opted to be quiet, and chat with the blonde a bit.

"Ah, Your Highness," he said, suddenly remembering. "You have been a good client to me and the Prince and I have become good friends, so if there are anything I can do to be of help for the union of Prince Keixth and the princess, I am willing to give a great discount for my services."

[Kai]

"Cousin! aren't you happy that you're getting married! by royal blood at that!" Keixth's cousin said with excitement.

"But. . . .dear cousin, I am not expecting this to happen so suddenly. And why this quickly? can't we just speak with the king and discuss the matters clearly before making this decision?" Keixth tried to explain to his cousin.

"nonsense cousin! You should be happy! isn't that granpa always say. Always smile!" the blond cousin pinched keixth cheeks to put it on a smile.

[Zane]

"Very well," the emperor laughed. "Expect us to put into full use your services, Zane."

He nodded and laughed at Keixth's whining. It's amusing.

"Would this not make you an emperor of Northern Xing, Prince Keixth? I think this is a very good opportunity for you," he added.

[Kai]

"grandpa, don't I get to say in this?!?" Keixth said.
"and you zane. . .I really. . . appreciate your "back-up". . really i do" Keixth said.
Keixth started pacing around the court room. . scratching his head in frustration.

[Zane]

Zane smiled at Keixth. "Prince Keixth, I'm just saying that a man of your status, this kind of thing is not so uncommon. Aside from that, as a prince, it is your duty, yes?"

He smirked. "Why not give it a chance first? Backing out without seeing through it at the very least would be detrimental for your country."

The cousin walked towards the emperor who whispered to her. "He's really enjoying it, huh?"

[Kai]

Keixth huffed. "well it is a prince's duty as well to correct this matter. I know mister zane about our customs here in Xing."

Keixth then turned back to the emperor."Grandpa. . I have a proposition. If i can talk to the king regarding the problems we are facing in the northern xing and solve it. I will not be wed."

[Zane]

Zane bowed. "My apologies, Prince Keixth if I seemed rude; yes, I'm quite sure you know the customs of Xing. I just thought it would be a fair warning; the emperor of Northern Xing is nothing like your grandfather, his highness." He was a hard client to please.

[Kai]

"It's okay no need to apologize, zane" keixth said.

"hmmm. . this is an interesting proposition you have made" The emperor rubbed his chin(or rather his long beard)
"you are thinking like a true prince at that my dear grandchild"
