"Then, I'd like to come with the prince as his support," Zane offered. "As my way of apologizing for my impolite regard of the prince's diplomatic skills," he smirked at Keixth.

"That, and I know the Northern Emperor; I may be of help. After all, a prince must utilize all means that which he have."

The cousin squealed and the emperor nodded. "Very well; I feel more at ease with you by Keixth's side."

"It's an honor," he said, bowing. Then smirking knowingly at Keixth.

"So. . .you approve of my preposition?" Keixth asked.

"Are you deaf my grandchild!!?! of course I approve but remember what you said. if this negotiation with the emperor of the northern kingdom isn't well.. you must wed the princess. Am I clear?" the emperor said. Looking at keixth with serious eyes that seemed to scare him.

"y-y-yes grandfather. I gave my word as a prince." Keixth stuttered.
"and we will prepare our things as we journey to the northern kingdom" Keixth said.

"dear cousin be careful of your journey and please buy me those extravagant dresses in the northern kingdom" his cousin said to him.
"I will my dear cousin" as keixth patted his cousin's head.

"I look forward to your success - either way, of course," his cousin said and looked at Zane and Keixth.

"Well, I'd like to be of help and with preparations, I can lend a hand," she said and led them to a chamber.

She asked the maids to dress Keixth up. While she asked the maid to fetch Zane some Xingese clothes.

"errr. . . please cousin nothing to extravagant" Keixth pleaded.

"nonsense! you should be well dressed. your meeting an emperor from another kingdom" Fei Xiu(cousin's name) said

"*sigh* but please dont over dress me" Keixth said.

"i'll try my best, dear cousin" Fei Xiu said. And then a bunch of maids came in with different clothing. She then proceeded to browse to the various selection that the palace could provide.

"hmm how about this?" she held up a red silk dress with long sleeves with golden linings and intricate designs of a phoenix swirling the dress.
"It says. . I'd be happy to marry your daughter. . so therefore no. " keixth sulked.

"hmpf. . you sure are picky my dear cousin" Fei Xiu said.

Zane changed his clothes rather quickly, liking the dark colors that was chosen from him, but it was still rather formal so he didn't exactly like it. Except, they were meeting an emperor, and it's purely diplomatic, so it couldn't be helped.

He could hear the argument between the two cousins and chuckled.

"I'll enjoy this for sure."

after a very long arguement with Fie Xiu.
Keixth finally decided to wear something appropriate.
He came out of the dressing room with a blue longed sleeve silk dress lined in white with a dragon embroided in gold that swirls the dress with white pants in the inside, along with a yellow sash.

"This looks good" keixth said checking for flaws in the dress.
"finally you decided to pick something. . we were running out of options for you my dear cousin" Fie Xiu giggled.

Zane was waiting by the sofa, outside. And dozed off; Keixth took too long for him.

"Fei Xiu picked dresses with wedding meanings in it" keixth stated

"I did not. It just looks pretty" Fie Xiu said.

Zane opened his eyes. "Ah," he nodded. "You actually look like a prince now."

He smiled at Fie Xiu as he stood up. "You did a great job, princess." And he smoothed his clothes, not used to Xingese garb.

"why thank you mister zane" Fie Xiu bowed to zane.

"soo. . are our things packed and ready??" keixth asked.

"So it is, cousin," Fie Xiu said. "Your carriage awaits you, as with the servants that will accompany you."

Zane pocketed his hands. "I'm good to go," he said.

Kotaro was outside the palace. He was gazing at it's beauty from afar on a large tree. “Looks like a touggh nut to crack.” He reached into his bag and pulled out some binoculars. “Time to mark any potential threats or entrances.” He looked down the binoculars, scouting the defenses.

There were a lot of guards scouting, guarding and all that. Tonight was special; there was a party of some sort and many guests were attending, all of high caliber and stuff.

By the top of the palace were guards, using their snipers as binoculars for any kind of threat.

Kotaro sighed as he put the binoculars away. “Snipers, guests arriving, guards on patrol around the clock. Its tighter then a drill seargants ass.” Kotaro hopped from the tree. “First, I need to find a way to get in without suspicion.” Kotaro rubbed his chin. “I can't sneak in by top or front. The sewers are probobly guarded. The guests are let in. So what if I posed as one of the guests?” Kotaro shook his head. “I don't even know whats going on. How would I pose as a guest? But... what about entertainment?”

More guests flocked inside the palace; the guards increased in numbers, especially when the big time guests have entered.

Kotaro cursed. "Alright, there seems to be no easy way in. Guess I'll have to go on a limb." Kotaro began to walk around the palace, checking for any weaknesses in the defense.

Kotaro saw a weakness. He quikly took out and put a silenser on. He then took out a magazine full of darts. A guard had wandered off while patroling the grounds. He was out of the snipers view. Kotaro raised the gun and shot the guard in the neck, the needle penetrating the skin.

Kotaro sighed. “As long as my face is hidden, I won't arouse suspicion.” Kotaro put on the guards balaclava,picked up the weapon, and approached the palace.

The palace entrance had multiple men in fancy guard outfits, looking stern. As the last guest entered, they moved in a formation that allowed one guard to view on angle and the other another.

With that said, they covered 180 degrees line of sight.

Kotaro aproached the palace, a stern look on his face. Only guards seemed get in now since the last one entered. Gotta get in. Kotaro saw that there was a smaller guard presense on the right. He turned toward it. As a guard, they had to let him in. Right?

A guard suddenly approached Kotaro. "Get back to your post; the party started. We've been told someone's going to break in to get the scepter."

Kotaro hid his surprise. They knew. “What? where did this information come from?” Kotaro had seen an opening. A slight one.

"How could you not know?" the guard narrowed his eyes. "It was discussed earlier; well, whatever. It came from the intel dept. don't question your superiors. Just be on the lookout."

Kotaro narrowed his eyes. “If it's at risk why are so many of us out here?” He pointed in the direction he came. “Not even the snipers can see me. I could have been jumped and you wouldn't know. I mean no disrespect, but we have snipers in the roof, every door locked down like this one. Why have patrol that is pointless instead of sending us inside for reinforced security?” He had said all this in a calm manner. If they didn't let him in, he would have to go through the sewers.

"What are you talking about? We are actually few out here! This is the royal Xing palace! There's more inside, of course," he narrowed his eyes suspiciously, and grappled the man. "It's either you are new or you're an enemy."

He called out a different guard. "Escort this man and get his identity checked; I want to know which platoon he is part of."
