I'm just 'her', now?? Oh well. Better than 'Resistance Scum', I suppose.

She watched Rei contemplate for a moment, and during the brief pause Dwyrin answered Zane. "It's important to somebody, I can tell you that."

Rei had started rigidly walking toward Des, weapons in both hands, and now stood in from of him, waiting.

Des outstretched his hand. The forearm showing a stab wound from earlier. Des seemed almost harmless but no one could no for sure. He looked at Zane and waved his hand down.

"Zane. You can go, i'll see you on the battlefield."

Des then turned his attention to Dwyrin who was just standing there. He pulled out his favorite pistol and tossed it on the floor next to her.

"There, keep that because I will find you again..."

Des smiled and awaited for Rei to step closer to his hand. He looked at her with almost a blank stare filled with little emotion.

"It's safe..."

Rei watched silently, cautious. She finally shifted the rifle to her shoulder and reversed her grip on the dagger. "Lead the way," she said, not making any moves closer to him. She hardly believed that going with him was safe, but she knew that she did not want him to already have hold of her if he tried something. She threw a sideways glance at Dwyrin, suddenly unsure why she was anywhere but in her bookstore in Central. With a mental shrug, she looked back to Des, ready to go where he led.

"Don't shoo me away, Des. I'll be watching you till you finish your mission -even before you start it."

With the two of them gone, and with what Dwyrin said, he turned to the only girl in the room.
"Dwyrin, let me make a proposition," he started. "I'll tell you what you really want to know with your first question and tell me just who are you - a detailed answer at that, yeah?"

"It really depends on the details you want, doesn't it??" she answered, listening to the receding footsteps.

She picked up the gun Des had thrown at her feet and studied it. 'Because I'll find you again'?? Perhaps he would. And she would be sure to save every round for the occassion - Just in case... She pocketed the pistol and tossed away the bigger gun in her other hand. She had barely realized it was still in her hand. It was empty, anyway.

She looked back at Zane, expectantly.

"Now that they're gone," Zane eased up on the chair he was sitting on. "Well, I definitely want as much details I can get from you."

"So just who are you, Dwyrin? Why do you have information like these?"

"Of course you do." She smiled. "I'm not sure we have that much time, however. We'll have to follow them, won't we?? Well, I'll be going after Rei, and you - Des, but..." she waved away the thought.

"I am..." Dwyrin paused unsure how to respond. She wasn't sure she'd ever been asked. After putting a sensible answer together, she voiced it. "I have those folders because I broke into a military base and stole them."
Simple enough.
"As to who I am; I am Dwyrin, Information extrodinaire." Bowing with a flourish, she continued, "It pleases me to wander about and find out all there is to know, so as to help further the plans of my allies. And you, Zane The Messenger??"

He smiled. "Don't worry, we'll be able to catch up to them," he reassured but took out his cap anyway. "They can hold for a little while on their own."

He heard her answers and smirked. He liked that she really gave out details that he wanted to hear.
"You stole them? Commendable," he said. "Military bases nowadays are so easily infiltrated." He sat up straight.
"I see, so we're really in the same bout of business," he thought out loud. How interesting, he mused, but they still were in a different route.

"Are you asking who I am now, or who I was?"

She thought back to the past few days of having been with Rei and smiled knowingly. "True. They'll be fine, but maybe not for too long. Military Man is going strange."

Same business, eh?? I'm not sure whether that's good news or not.

"If you recall, you asked me two questions. Who I am, and how I had those files. So; Who were you and what's different, now??"

Zane sighed. "Strange? So you mean he was never always like that? I always thought it was natural to him?" Prying information from other people about Des never hurt, he told himself. She seems to know him farther back...

Zane smiled. Smart girl.
"Right now, I'm an information broker affiliated with the Military," he waved casually. "Before, I was..." he hesitated slightly. He didn't want to tell but he would never go back on his word. "...I was a general."

Now, that was something she hadn't been expecting. How very intriguing. A whole host of new questions popped into her head and she fought hard to supress her curiosity. At least for the time being.

"He may have always been strange. But in the very short time I've known of him, he's gotten more...moody," she said while fastening her coat, and starting for the stairs. "As in, Being unconscious one moment, and spitting blood, screaming nonsense, and trying to kill us in the next."

He mentally took note of this girl - now that she knows things, and after knowing just what she was, he had to be cautious. She previously mentioned her allies - but there were only two factions at war. The civilians don't count and so he assumed for now that she was with the Resistance. After this job, he decided, he knows what he'll busy himself with.

Zane laughed. "Is that so?" He smiled and stood up. "I wonder what made him so unstable, then?" He followed her. "But if that's so, then I guess we need to follow them." Though whatever happens, I'm just here to watch. Even if someone gets hurt or even if someone dies.

"That was the plan," she said, simply. They reached the front door and Dwyrin stepped out into the snow, following the most recent set of tracks.
