[Zane's not in a military garb though]

Zane sharply turned towards the door. "So you guys finally found a way in from the roof? The door was broken, you know," he took a casual stride towards the door and sharply opened it. He saw the same girl he was looking at by the roof when he was still outside the house.

Des perked up and dropped his wine glass. His eyes zoomed past Zane and affixzed on Dwyrin.

"Resistance scum. Come back for more?"

Des began to rise but fell back down cracking his head against the floor. A small trickle of blood revealed itself through his hair. He got back up and stared at her.

[ Oi, oi! Order of posts here~ Quite frankly, I'm getting sick of randomly getting skipped. xD;; ]

Rei held her dagger in front of her, though it would do little good if Des recovered enough to shoot them. "This guy might shoot, too. He's that military guy from Central."

"The door was locked the last time we passed it," Rei said. It was the truth, though that had been their first attempt to enter the building. She racked her brain for an excuse for why they would break into this place, but came up empty. She had no idea what to expect of this man and Des appeared to be unable to do much. "He's off his rocker."

Zane waved his hand. "No need to look at me like that," he smiled. "I'm not a military man," Not anymore. "I just help out from time to time. And this time, I'm just a messenger. I'm not the kind to go out of my job description."

If they kill Des, well, my job would be done. But that'd be a shame, considering I haven't had much information yet. But that girl's the one from Central. Why is she here?

"Unless you're going to attack me, I'll just seat myself here."

Dwyrin ignored Des' drunken taunt, and glanced at Rei, before looking back to the stranger.

"Well, that's fortunate," she said, eyeing the man warily, "what sort of messenger??"

"What are you two going to do? Attack a drunken man? I-i'll ya know.."

Des started to move towards them but stopped next to Zane. He eyed him and grunted. Something seemed off but who was he to judge?

"Rei, where are you. Show yourself. Dwyrin...move."

Rei stared at the drunken man in disbelief. He was so far gone it was hard to believe. She remained silent and watched him. She knew that in this state she could deal with him easily. It was the other man that she was more worried about. She waited silently for his response to Dwyrin's question, though she did not lower her dagger.

Zane grinned at the two girls. Aw, suspicious aren't they? Can't be helped.
"Well, that's a secret, you know?" he replied as he sat down on a chair casually. "But I'd tell you in exchange for money."

Her jaw dropped. Someone was playing her own game against her. Amazment turned into amusement, and a slow smirk crept onto her face.

"You know?? I don't have much of that on me, right now. How about an exchange of information?? Say, a secret for a secret??"

Des shoved Zane and stumbled towards the stairway. He looked up at Dwyrin and Rei and chuckled.

"You think this is a game? I'll have you know, I may be drunk but.....shit, I forgot. To hell with both of you."

Des went to pull out a gun but stumbled back and crashed into another wine barrel soaking his pants. He smiles and licked his damp hands.

Rei wanted to slap herself in the forehead, but the knife in her right hand and automail left hand forced her to reconsider that action. What Dwyrin did was her own business and she cared little for what the other military man - did he have a name? - was doing. She simply watched Des, ready to stop him if he did something that could hurt them.

"Or himself."

It was a good thing Zane was able to balance himself from Des' shove. "I forgot how unstable you are, military dude," he said, wearing his cap and then glanced at the girl with the dagger then to the other.

"Well, that depends. I don't have a need for useless information though. If you can assure me this secret will be valuable to me, then by all means," and waved his hand. "But first things first. A name for a name?"

Taking a step farther into the room, she introduced herself. "Most people call me Dwyrin."

She stopped and looked at Des for a moment, grimacing. How can this even be the same person?? Dwyring carefully considered her next move while waiting for the stranger or Rei to fill the silence.

"Tasty."

Des stood up and moved back to the door where all the guns were kept. He stumbled inside and came back out with something in hand.

"Oh look, a pineapple grenade."

Des pulled the pin but held the trigger.

"Move, or we die."

Rei could hardly believe the turn of events. They had just escaped this man after he had tried to kill them, and now he was threatening to kill them, himself, and a random military man. She gritted her teeth, looking for a way to get out of the mess.

"Pineapple grenade? Probably new enough to have smokeless powder instead of TNT. A quick transmutation will render it useless."

"Moving!" Rei shouted, launching forward. She passed Dwyrin and the other man and racing toward Des and his weapon. She prayed that his reaction time was hindered by his drunken state. She was too far away to reach the grenade before he let go of the trigger, but that hardly mattered. She just had to be near enough to him when he let it go to get it.

Zane looked sharply at Des. Not good. I knew he was unstable, but I didn't know he was suicidal. He watched as Rei moved to intercept and smiled to himself slightly. Let's see what this little miss can do.

She had stepped aside when Rei passed her, and she was now staring into the little room behind Des. It's not that she wasn't concerned with the situation - the whole grenade thing - but more that she sensed what was happening already, and trusted everyone to play the proper parts she had imagined.

Just as Rei was about to reach Des, Dwyrin dashed past Both of them into the room to retrieve something handy for cover - In the event that we live, anyway...

Des saw Rei dash at him and some instinct kicked in. Des stepped forward and grabbed Rei by the face. He lifted her into the air and squeezed hard.

"Dare you attack me? Fall beneath me!"

Des thrust Rei into the ground with his hand and began laughing still holding onto the pineapple grenade.

"Dwyrin, you in my secret room? Exit or die."

Rei felt her feet lift off the ground, then she was slammed head first into the hard floor. Her obscured vision grew hazy and it seemed like the stars had been summoned to earth. She was hardly aware of what she was doing, but she told her body to act and could only trust that it did.

Luckily for her, it did. She kicked Des, once in the face and one to the shoulder of the arm he held her with. She stabbed him in the forearm with the dagger. His grasp loosened enough for her to roll away, knife still in hand. She touched the grenade, sealing the level down, and ran to the door she had seen Dwyrin run through.

She grabbed the door frame, disoriented, and fell, using the wood to keep her somewhat on her feet until she hit the ground. She saw only fog and was thought that her eyes kept crossing, but she could hardly be sure of that. "Oh, I think I got him," she panted.

Zane watched with amusement the events that had happened. She's pretty good.
With a casual stride, he walked towards Des. "You got owned, man," and continued towards where Rei and Dwyrin were.

Dwyrin saw the stranger coming towards the room and quickly snatched a firearm off the wall. Making sure the safety was off, she stepped in front of Rei and swung the big, lumbering piece of metal out in front of her. She despised using a gun. It took so little effort. There should be more humanity in weapons made to kill. But right now, with Military Man so unpredictably drunk, and being faced with a person of unknown abilities, she was glad to have it.

Des gripped his arm and yelled angrily shouting out curses. He looked at Zane as he approached Dwyrin and Rei.

"Zane, don't do it."

Des moved towards the stairs and began climbing them slowly making sure not to fall down them from his intoxication. He looked at the grenade with the lever Rei sealed down and grunted.

"Damn."

Rei leaned against the wall, looking up at Dwyrin - the spinning figure was Dwyrin, right? - and the other soldier - Zane? Her head was beginning to pound, but it was hardly the time to be out of the fight. She slowly stood, leaning against the wall for support. She bumped into something long and made of metal, so she grabbed it. "A rifle. Great."
