Re: City Rooftops

“Yahoo!” Kotaro jumped from building to building, landing then bursting off into a run in half a second. He had a lot of things on his mind, but had decided it was time for some fun. He jumped over radiators, rooftop staircases, fire escapes, all in a swift yet smooth pattern. “Now for a challange.” Kotaro jumped off of the current building and over a 4 foot long gap to the next. He landed squarely on hif feet. “Feels good to let loose.” He said stretching. He gave another whoop before sitting on the edge of the building.

Emi looked around when she heard something but then shrugged it off, as long as she wasn't about to get killed she didn't mind the noise. She looked up and began pointing at stuff in the sky, muttering as she did.

Kotaro let out a deep breath. “It feels so nice just to let loose instead of always fighting for my life.” He scratched the back of his head before standing back up. “Next stop.” The next building had a pipe connecting the 2. He ran toward it and jumped on it, the curves in his shoes causing him to grind from one side of the pipe to another. He then noticed someone else on the building he was approaching. “I wonder whos-” he was cut short as he grinded the pipe.. he fell onto the rooftop hard. “Ooowwwww!”

Emi jumped when she heard something fall, when she turned she saw someone had fallen onto the rooftop. "Ohhh, is yous alright?! Do I need to get help?!"

Kotaro sat up and shook his head furiously before rubbing the back of it. “No I'm fine, just a little bruise.” Kotaro looked up to see who had approached him. He raised an eyebrow. “Emi?”

"That is good! Well getting a bruise isn't, but still..." Emi looked at Kotaro when she heard her name. "Oh! Kotaro! Heys!" She began to clap when she saw him.

Kotaro stood up and dusted himself off. “Really, I'm fine.” He smiled. “Can't have any fun without a little risk.” He looked around the rooftop, then at Emi. “What brings you to the concrete jungle?”

"Sometimes yous can." Emi nodded. "Well me was exploring and decided to take a break here, mhm! What about yous?" As she spoke Emi glanced around the area.

“I was thinking about visiting a friend. I came up here to think, one thing led to another, and I ended up parkour running. Then I bumped here.”

Kotaro smiled and nodded. “Parkour running is fun. Risky, but fun. It also is a form of training.”

"Fun is awesomes! So is training of course, yeps!" Emi smiled. "Do yous do parkour running a lot then?"

“No very often. To parkour run, you need plenty ofvroom and obstacles. Thats why I do it in the city. Everything, people, trash cans, cars, buildings, all just obstacles. Its mostly frowned upon because of the stunts you pull while running.” Kotaro rubbed the bruise on his arm. “It trains your speed, agility, flexibility, and reaction time.”

"Ohhh! M'kies! Sounds cools! Awwws for being frowned upon though." Emi began to clap, but stopped when she started speaking again. "Is yous sure that bruise is alright?"

Kotaro nodded. “This is nothing compared to what I have recently gone through.” He reached into his bag and pulled out a steel ball. “Do you mind helping me with something? I want to check my reflexes.”

"Awwwwss, poor yous!" Emi carefully looked at the steel ball before looking at Kotaro. "Yeah, sure!"

Kotaro handed her the steel ball then walked over to a nearby wall. He faced Emi. “When your ready, I want you to throw that at me. Don't hesitate. After that, try to attack me with your alchemy. Do not hesitate.”

"Right! M'kay, no hesitating. Got it!" Emi prepaed an alchemy circle on the ground before throwing the ball towards Kotaro and activating the circle. Slabs of ice were pushed full force towards Kotaro closely following the steel ball.

As the ball neared Kotaro, there was a blur. The ball and Kotaro seemed to disappear. The ball was thrown at one of the slabs of ice, shattering it as a black and white blur seemed to dodge the other slabs of ice. Kotaro suddenly appeared seemed to materialize from the wall smiling. “God I love parkour running.”

Emi looked surprised at Kotaro. "Wow" She was quite shocked at the speeds he could do.

Kotaro shrugged. “When your running your whole life your bound to learn tricks.” He felt a sharp pain in his side. He placed a hand there. “Guess I hurt myself more than I thought.”

Emi blinked to focus herself again. "Haha, yeah. Suppose." She looked at Kotaro curiously. "Yous alright??"

Kotaro gave a slight nod. “For now. I must have injured myself more then I thought. My sides burning.” Kotaro took long deep breaths.

Emi looked confused when she noticed his breathing. "Oww, maybe we should get someone to look at it, mhm!"
